Glad Man City have offered £40m for Sterling. We have a much better chance of getting £32.5m for Benteke if he goes there.

Rather have tough opening fixtures. If we have a new owner and start poorly you can see action being taken. Not with the manager but maybe from a player acquisition perspective.

Maybe Sherwood can get more out of him than Steve Bruce. We have Delph for box to box duties. Huddlestone would be like a poor mans Carrick. Still good enough for us.

Mitrovic linked to Swansea for 12m. We should be looking at this guy to replace Benteke. Sell Benteke for 30m and bring in Mitrovic and Bamford.

I just have a feeling that Sherwood will only be able to strengthen the squad if Benteke goes. It's a big risk relying on one player as we are screwed if he gets a big injury again.

He will be better at Everton than he was for us last season. We need better midfielders in the team to play alongside him. Delph is class but not much else in the squad really.

I would be more angry if we sold him for less than £32.5m. We must not be bullied by the media, and so called "bigger clubs" into selling him on the cheap. I think we are normally quite good at getting good prices for outgoing players so we will see. Hopefully we can bring in £50m worth of players to compensate. We certainly need it.

Ooo I don't know, we've had our fingers burnt by that policy a LOT. I'd stick to proven Premier League quality now... We've been burnt before on average Championship players. I think signing Mings and Hughes would be different to when we brought in in Bennett and Westwood. I agree we do also need more experienced quality in the spine of the team. Not sure who though.

Would quite like us to get in some of the more highly rated young Championship players like Will Hughes or Tyrone Mings as opposed to raiding the relegated teams for players.
