I actually think £9m is reasonable for Rhodes, especially when you consider how much we paid for Kodjia and McCormack and considering we also sold Gestede to them for £6m.

Can't believe the negativity Rhodes is getting. He's a very good striker IMO, not world class but certainly better than what we currently have. Also unlike McCormack who's 30/31 Rhodes is just 26/27 so has plenty of goals still left in him. Signing Rhodes would be fantastic IMO, especially as it looks more and more likely we'll be playing Championship football next season as well.

Good luck to him. I actually thought he was a decent defender. His biggest problem was our formation and our reliance on our wing backs to get forward and create, which unfortunately he simply couldn't do with any great affect (see also Hutton). I recon he'd would have been more suited to a conventional 4-4-2 with a decent winger in front of him. Far from 'terrible' IMO.

We've had experienced keepers before and that hasn't necessarily work out (look at Bunn, Given etc.). I'd rather we just sign a decent keeper irrespective of their age.

Can't believe people are calling for Bruce's head already. If we had of appointed him in the summer instead of RDM then we'd be in a much better position now IMO.

Gabby has never been prolific. His best season was 2009/10 when he scored 16, in the seven seasons since he has only ever managed double figures once in 2012/13 scoring 12. In his last 3 Premier League seasons he scored a combined total of 11 goals from 85 appearances. Even more shocking when you consider he's on at least £65K a week. In short we need a new striker.

Personally I thought he'd did OK against superior opposition. Needs a decent run of games IMO. Still more effective Than Westwood and Gardner.
