  1. The Sun... https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/2509687/january-transfer-window-latest-arsenal-stopper-david-ospina-a-shock-target-for-fenerbahce-liverpools-plan-for-joe-gomez-and-man-united-in-search-for-a-goalkeeper/ MANCHESTER UNITED want a new third-choice keeper so Sam Johnstone can join Aston Villa. Johnstone, 23, is going to Villa on loan but that could become a full-time £2million switch. But first Jose Mourinho needs cover for David De Gea and Sergio Romero.
  2. Can't wait to have him back in the starting line up. So much better than Westwood and Gardner.
  3. So we're forcing Tshibola out, while offering this waste of space a new contract? Can't believe this club at times.
  4. I see Snodgrass has signed a new contract with Hull, so I guess we can rule him out now.
  5. http://the72.co.uk/69991/leeds-villa-enquire-over-snodgrass/ Retired football agent, Agent Dave, has confirmed on his official Twitter page that both Leeds United and Aston Villa have ‘enquired’ over the signing of Hull City winger Robert Snodgrass. The Scotland international has seen his future thrown up in the air in recent days after it was revealed he has rejected a contract extension with the Premier League strugglers. The 29-year-old supposedly set his heart on a move to Ladbrokes Premiership leaders and Scottish giants Celtic, but Brendan Rodgers isn’t said to be keen on signing the player at this moment in time. This has alerted two Championship clubs in particularly, including former clubs Leeds, who he has made over 160 appearances for already. Snodgrass, who has already netted ten goals this season, including a hat-trick for Scotland in their 5-1 victory over Malta September, was willing to take a pay cut in order to push through a move to Celtic Park. With that move seemingly off the agenda, it remains to be seen where Snodgrass’ future lies. His deal at the KCOM Stadium expires at the end of this season, but Hull may not be too keen on letting him leave in January, fearing his exit would severely restrict their chances of avoiding relegation under Mike Phelan. Losing him for free next summer therefore remains a possibility, and both Garry Monk and Steve Bruce have tentatively enquired regarding his situation. Both clubs would certainly benefit from having a proven Premier League and international quality attacking player in the form of Snodgrass, but perhaps both clubs would be better placed if they too could offer Premier League football next season.
  6. Welcome Steve. Please get us promoted.
  7. For what it's worth I feel more confident we'd achieve promotion under Bruce than RDM. Although Bruce is not a great manger per se.
  8. RDM makes Lambert look like Pep. Starting line-up was atrocious as was the performance!
  9. He's been in the job for less than 4 months, give him a chance.
  10. Just got back from Villa Park. We were dire for about 65mins and conceded another comical goal, then we battered them for the last half hour and IMO we were unlucky not to get all 3pts against the 12 men of Newcastle. RDM's sub's changed the game, Tsh and Gestede have to start. Bacuna and Westwood are gash and should never play for us again. Kodjia is class, Ayew can be class when he wants to. Amavi, Tsh, Gestede Gollini all had a good game. Jedinak and Elphic were disappointing today however I've no doubt they'll improve.
  11. Probably couldn't stomach the inevitable late equalizer.
  12. Champions league in 5 years??? at this rate it'll take 50
  13. They've had more possession, more shots and more shots on target. Come on Villa!!
  14. Not his fault he's got a medical condition, apparently he suffers from 'Elphic's Disease'.
  15. IMO We've not had a convincing keeper since big Brad.
  16. I can't agree. We were 1 nil down at that time, bringing on Gestede was the right decision. Gardener was useless anyway. the big error was not Suring up the midfield after we'd taken the lead.
  17. Yet another game we should have won. can't wait 'til Tsh' and Jedi' are back.
  18. I'd have like to have kept Gana to strengthen the midfield. He's started brightly at Everton as well.
  19. I've got this image of Santa dropping Buffon down the chimney at the Dr's house, shouting 'Merry Xmas', you've been a very good boy this year Tony!
