I would have preferred it if we had kept Baker and actually sold him instead. The guy's an arse clown of the highest order.

He had a blinding game against Liverpool in the Premier League (whatever that is) then like so many of our players he seemed to get progressively worse. Wish him well but glad to see the back of him.

IMO he's a solid RB. His biggest weakness is that for 90% of his time here he's been asked to play as more of a wing back, which just highlighted the lack of an any end product. Not his fault? I'd rather have Hutton in the team 100% committed than a Gabby or a Grealish who only seem to turn up when/if they can be arsed. So, no he's not the greatest footballer ever to wear the claret 'n' blue but I just feel he deserves a little bit more respect than he appears to get. I for one will be sorry to see him leave. Sorry

He's far from abysmal and like I said he was one of our best players last season. Yes we have a fair few RB's but selling him now to a potential promotion rival is just silly (again IMO).

If it's true then I'll be genuinely sorry to see him go. Not the most gifted of footballers but certainly one of the most resilient, hardworking and passionate. One of our best players last season and totally earned his one year contract extension. Selling him to a 'rival' is madness IMO, but looks like we won't be missed by many. Sad really.

In terms of ability I'd take Veretout over Whelan every day of the week but In terms of commitment, attitude and application I'd have Whelan.

I think he's decent enough keeper but I'm a little disappointed it's only a loan. The Hart move was obviously a non-starter from the beginning.

Selling Hutton at this point is a huge mistake IMO. Admittedly he's not the greatest RB in the world but his work ethic has certainly earned him that contract extension. Yes we have other options. However, Bacuna and Richards are IMO both worse than Hutton in that position. While De Leat started at RB last season and did OK, he's just recovered from a massive injury and there is no indication how that has effected his ability. Bree is 'one for the future'.

John Terry even at 36 still has a lot to offer. He's twice the player Richards and Elphic are! IF we can get him and he wants to come then this could be a real coup, IMO it's a bit of a no brainer!

Ironically Richards has won both the FA cup and the PL, and Elphick's won the Championship. Both are terrible.
