  1. If Amavi's worth £25m then this guy worth £100m. We've completely and utterly had Swansea's pants down.
  2. It's up to Gabby to prove his worth in the summer. We'll still need to bring in another striker regardless IMO.
  3. The game's afoot: Follow your spirit, and upon this charge Cry 'God for Ugo, Dalian, and Sir Graham!'
  4. A great defender and a top bloke. Get well soon.
  5. Bookmaker list Aston Villa as joint-favourites for 22-goal striker; Newcastle included as outsiders... http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/04/20/bookmaker-list-aston-villa-as-joint-favourites-for-22-goal-strik/ Aston Villa have been listed as joint-favourites for Bristol City loanee Tammy Abraham, while Newcastle have been listed as contenders for his signature. Bookmaker BetVictor has listed Aston Villa as 4/1 joint favourites to sign Bristol City loanee Tammy Abraham during the summer, while Newcastle have been included as contenders. The Chelsea youngster has enjoyed a sensational season in the Championship with the Robins. Without his 22 goals in the league this term, it seems more than likely that Lee Johnson's men would go into the final three games of the campaign with one foot already in League One. Given the success of his spell, City will know that it will be extremely difficult to pull off any kind of deal this summer, seemingly paving the way for another team to potentially swoop in if the Blues decide that he would be better off leaving in some capacity rather than sticking around Stamford Bridge. BetVictor believe that Villa are one of the most likely destinations for the 19-year-old, with Steve Bruce's men listed at 4/1, alongside Middlesbrough, to land the striker during the summer. Meanwhile, Newcastle have not been ruled out of the running by the bookmaker, with the Magpies listed at 8/1 - behind Leicester City and Galatasaray - so perhaps Rafa Benitez will earmark Abraham as a potential target as he looks to bolster his attacking options. With Jonathan Kodjia and Scott Hogan already in Bruce's ranks, signing Abraham while keeping the current pair would surely see Villa go into next season with the best front line in the division. Meanwhile, Abraham's form this term would certainly suggest that he could definitely have a role to play at St James' Park if Newcastle did make a move regardless of whether they are in the second tier again or secure what looks like a probable return to the top flight at the end of this campaign.
  6. I really can't see Tony sacking Bruce anytime soon.
  7. The defence is OK at this level IMO, I'd sell Richards and Elphick and get a new CB. Obviously Amavi would need to be replaced should he leave. Midfield still needs work as does the attack. GK is the priority IMO.
  8. We seriously lack quality in key areas and we're light in numbers in general. We've spent close to £100m just to finish mid-table in the Championship and that's bonkers!
  9. I don't rate the guy, never have. However up until his sending off against Derby he did put in some decent performances. Unfortunately for him he's now reverted back to being utter crap.
  10. I understand that my opinion on this subject is unpopular, I get it, however that's my opinion for the reason's I stated. I can't stand the bloke, he didn't treat the club with any respect (IMO) when he left so don't want him back... same as Delph. I'd rather we worked towards finding the next 'Barry' type player.
  11. As I recall (and I could be wrong) he gave an interview in the Sun? in which he was derogatory towards the club and MON. He then tried to engineer a move to Liverpool (with his agent) whilst still under contract. So yeah, I can't stand it. But like I said I'm a little bitter about it so...
  12. I don't want Barry back! I'm bitter I guess, but I've not forgiven him for following the money to Citeh. The guy could have been a really genuine Villa legend but he chose to leave and what makes it even worse is that he chose to leave in a period when we were actually competitive. I would have loved to have seen him in a midfield with Milner, Young, Delph, and Downing. I'd rather we looked at finding the next Gareth Barry.
  13. That poor back pass aside I thought he did OK playing out of position. However he's a much better midfielder.
  14. Well taken goal today, hopefully the first of many. UTV.
  15. Another win, another 3pts and another clean sheet. Happy days.
  16. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
