    I know fore well that our own form is dour but my point is that they form needs improve while we only need to realistically win 1 or even get another draw or 2, and they're needing to win 2 or 3, and that's all the teams below us. I just can't see us going down.

    Would take a lot for us to go down as there are still a few teams below us that are more likely to finish in the bottom 3 than us. Norwich are in awful form and have an awful run in and Baggies are no better, along with the current incumbents of the bottom 3. Would take a huge swing and for us to not gain another point, which in my opinion is very unlikely. We will stay up!

    They've released some plans for the redevelopment of Anfield and looks quite good. Plans to expand to 59k rather than build a new Anfield! Can't wait for the day we actually sort the monstrosity of the North Stand and hopefully if we get new owners that can happen. In terms of Liverpool winning the league I really have no qualms about it. Makes a change for me as I was only just born the last time they did! And I quite like sturridge to be honest!

    Remember he was ill the last part of the season and GMac took control when we won our last few games to propel us up the table so surely the win % should be games Houllier was actually on the touch line for?

    We're in the same position we were on Sunday evening when Lerner made his statement. I'm not overly convinced that it is going to be Simpson and Davis but who knows. I imagine this story has a long way to go yet! And fwiw they state that the trees is a plane spotter who tracks Randys jet over on TBAR, interesting!

    Will be interesting to see what's bringing him to these shores for the first time in 6 months, as any deal could be done from anywhere in the world really! Hopefully it'll bring some positive news!

    There's been plans for that to be done for years and to renovate the whole North Stand, but the need hasn't been there so Randy never pursued it afaik.

    As long as these guys can make us competitive again and spend some money, I'll be happy. It's once in a blue moon investors such as Chelsea Man City or PSG come along. If these guys can build us and move us forward to compete then great, you don't need to go out and buy Suarez Aguero and Cavani to do that, we can build sustainably and challenge for the top 4 again.

    Great news for me. We definitely need a new direction and reinvigorating from top to bottom. The statement from Lerner outlines to me that once the season is finished there will be an announcement and not before so as to not distract from the task of staying up. Exciting times ahead I think!

    Hoping and praying to every god possible. All the events leading up to this could suggest a takeover but you never know. And I understand the need for the secrecy as Lerner would be left with his pants down and a massive backlash if we went down and the takeover didn't happen. We will be safe and we will get taken over... I hope!

    Oh Christ I had given up hope and have avoided the Jim White Show but now I'm going to need to watch in case there is a deal to be had!!

    According to SSN this morning 5 Premier League clubs are in for Ince, so we could well be one or them! Hopefully so!

    He's pushing for it but by the sounds of it Norwich don't want to play ball, if I were Lambert I'd move on to the next target and leave Norwich with an unhappy player and out of pocket. There's plenty more fish in the sea.

    Worst game I've been to was Newcastle away under Kev Macdonald where we got battered 6-0 and Stephen Ireland made his debut. Carew skied a penalty at 0-0 and it was downhill from there. Horrible long long journey home, thinking what the hell has happened to Villa!

    I heart Benteke. Looking like the player from last season again now he's fitter, hopefully we can get some decent service into him and he can go on another scoring run. If he can finish the season with 12-15 goals that'll be a success IMO with 'second season syndrome' a worry before Christmas. He would thrive with a number 10 as a few times tonight he peeled off his defender into great space behind the Liverpool defence but his runs weren't read or seen. Promising signs though, hopefully he can bang in a few against the baggies.

    Hopefully with a decent break before our next game we can get our centre of midfield sorted. I think PL will be able to get one or two in, after the last 2 moral boosting games.

    Really impressed with him tonight, great addition. I imagine he'll get better and fitter as the games go on, he made such a difference to the side. My plop mate was very impressed with him too.

    Welcome Ryan. Could be a great loan signing for the rest of the season, a step in the right direction. I just hope if he does well we can sign him permanently. He'll be 25 by then and wanting regular first team football and hopefully will have enjoyed his 6 months with us.
