Just had a quick look on his 'likes' on Twitter, and he has been liking all of James Bree's posts about joining Villa and a new chapter and great club PR spin, so anyone doubting whether it'll happen, rest assured all the signs point to him coming here. Trent says so, AVFCtransfers says so, he still has a lion as his cover photo and still follows Dr Tony, so it's all good. I reckon he'll be announced tomorrow morning.

I love a good signing out of the blue. As much as i love following transfer news early, there was always something rewarding about checking teletext to see we had signed a player! Bjarnason has an element of a signing out of nowhere, which is great. I'm looking forward to seeing what he has to offer. I think with the added work rate of Lansbury, Hourihane and Bjarnason we will see a high pressing game, similar to what we saw be so effective away at Brighton. With Adomah and Kodjia chasing and harrying too, and a front 5 seemingly all carrying a goal threat. What is this witchcraft?!

Highly rated and highly regarded, whilst being chased by some of the best talent spotters in the business. I like the sound of it! Having a decent attacking right back in the place of Hutton sounds dreamy!

I think this season becomes a matter of pride now, and finishing as high as we can. The play-offs look to be beyond us this season, which is a shame and the finger must be pointed at RDM for that. We need to bring in a few more players this window, with longer term planning like Hourihane and Bree, bed them in ready for an assault on automatic next season. The way this season has gone there won't be clubs queuing up to sign our players so can build how Bruce and Round see fit. The positive is that I've enjoyed this season so far much more than the last 5 or so years. I just hope we can nail it next season.

The much maligned Warnock with a similar if not slightly better record. Bruce has done well, but could have done better imo, he's the right man to steer this ship back around for me. It's going to take time. Lansbury and Hourihane will certainly help.

I wonder what the good Dr makes of this? He's kept himself quiet on the matter on Twitter.

If we do make the play offs then I wouldn't want to face us. Unbeaten at home all season and tough to break down away if we play for the draw, even tougher. The only problem is getting there. We've been saying it since the start of the season, but we need to put a sequence of wins together and quick. Hopefully the addition of actual midfielders will help us away from home, and we can start to propel ourselves up the league. You don't get anything for being 6th after 25 games. If we sneak in on the 46th game it's job done! Plenty to be played yet.

Come home Kodjia. We miss you! Hopefully they mess it up against Morocco!
