  1. shame...from what i've seen she looks very decent. whilst i've not been following closely, i'm guessing whatever got her dropped from england and villa is now sorted?
  2. i'm convinced there's something in the algorithm for that
  3. i said similar yesterday and was shot down for it...bear in mind we're only seeing the things we're allowed to see, imagine how much is going on behind the scenes. it can't be healthy

  5. we always seem to get a newly promoted team first
  6. considering one of the common criticisms of purslow was "he gave gerrard too much power in the transfer market" it's surprising that so many on twitter are rejoicing in this news i'm hoping that it's not "emery is doing everything" and more a case of "the team of recruitment analysts, sporting director, coaches and personal assistants that were selected by emery are doing everything"
  7. the funny thing is is that this isn't one of the clubs the PIF recently bought so they've not got silly money or any of the good players
  8. so can people stop the narrative that he's been got rid of now?
  9. it's concerning. purslow knows the game inside out. heck knows nowt about any of it really. maybe unai's assistant?
  10. i think the difference in statement when gerrard got sacked vs this statement of purslow resigning including the nice words from NWSE indicates that everything amicable IMO
  11. it was difficult to read those considering the utter dross we've had over the years and really the only foot he's put wrong was to appoint gerrard. people have short memories. anyway sounds like they're basically giving emery the keys to the castle and purslow knows he's capable of more. i can see him on the PL board or something similar.

  13. ok - 31 or 32 then, whatever, i just think age catches up with footballers who don't look after themselves quickly and it's my personal perception that he doesn't look after himself anywhere near as much as other top pros and i just don't see him playing at the elite level well into his 30s
  14. man city winning a shit load of trophies and him having days long parties to celebrate each one for a start. he doesn't like to have a 'bit' of a party...the city trophy wins are all very funny to watch etc but remember him passed out in tenerife? the drunken car accident in lockdown? pretty sure there were some big nights out involving ross barkley too, and look at him now. once or twice you can put down to one offs but with jack it really does come across as more than the average player. this is just my perception and i stand by it. adding in his injury record you'd think he'd take better care of himself.
  15. another one of those players that you feel has been around forever but is only 23 he only signed in february but seemed to do OK in turkey? sounds like he was crap for roma for the first half of last season though. i think we're going to see a lot of agents linking their players to us. sounds like tielmans' contract is quite substantial so we're probably getting a reputation for paying good wages therefore it makes sense that agents are wanting their players to come to us
  16. from what i've read the challenge is finding one with the hose is long enough, especially if you are planning on putting it out of a top window. also having to block the rest of the window so the hot air doesn't come back in but i guess you must be able to angle it so that it doesnt?
  17. there was a time where i thought "there's no point in dropping £400 on a proper air conditioning unit for the sake of 2 weeks of the year". it's something i'm really considering now. it's only june, and it's already **** hot. at least i get a bit of coastal breeze...dread to think how bad it is in brum
  18. he only has to look at ashley young to see what a long career you can have a the top level if you look after yourself. he'll be at a mid table side when he's 30.
  19. one plus of them winning it is that they will be in saudi for the world club cup when the carabao cup QF is played next season so they'll have to field kids like liverpool did. fingers crossed we're drawn against them

  21. exactly. this is what people don't get. they're being done because on paper they have spent x but have in reality actually spent y not to mention man utd generates a ridiculous amount in worldwide sponsorship so they can spend silly money but well within the rules
  22. and that's a big part of the problem. fans get sucked into it and taken on the ride too. newcastle and city fans have a little social media bromance going on now. maybe there are some city fans thinking "whilst this feels great, it would feel even better if we'd spent within the rules and still won it" but i doubt there are many of those around but we're not in city's position, so we're well within our rights to criticise. we're spending within the rules and looks like we're on the up but realistically this will never be us. maybe one day the citys, newcastles, and PSGs of the world will all **** off to some expanded saudi super league and the rest of us can challenge for the CL with a reasonably level playing field.
  23. 115 charges..how can these commentators lick their arse with such sincerity. it's a team illegitimately put together. how do they get so much praise from the media
  24. yep. people call the likes of him and percy tap in merchants, when all it is is that they wont tweet until it's done rather than post speculation
