  1. the suggestions of us being in an FFP hole and disregard to FA rules have been largely overlooked and are also particularly worrying
  2. being made redundant and being sacked are 2 totally different things. the allegations are that he's sacking people without going through the correct process per UK law
  3. great to see pau back, but lenglet was the better CB yesterday i thought. absolutely fantastic display.
  4. those sitting behind desks aren't playing professional sport though. they're on a normal wage with mortgages to pay and families to feed. they just happen to work for a professional sports club. the players and manager are judged differently and treated differently because that's the nature of the role they play at the club. but if heck is indeed breaking UK employment law and firing people working behind the scenes without going through due process then he should have the book thrown at him
  5. Can't not give ollie motm but very special mention to lenglet. Class today
  6. If we lose or draw, before anyone melts down, please, please remember we should be 2 up now
  7. there's a few hoodoos that emery has broken for us in terms of grounds we've not won at for ages or teams we've not beaten in a while. this would be one that would be nice to break probably the away ground i've visited the most yet seen us win at a grand total of..........once
  8. oh definitely. similarly if i sit down and they're like "you can order and pay on our app if you like" as some of these italian chains like zizzi and ask have now
  9. i think 6 weeks is probably a tad optimistic. i'm not expecting to see him until the last 2/3 games of the season at the earliest. he won't be rushed back.
  10. no. because he left before heck came in (or very soon after) also they refer to a particular sector which doesn't suggest to me they're talking about the CEO
  11. in recent years i've gone from 'sometimes' to 'most of the time'. if i'm paying £90 for a meal i don't have an issue rounding it up to £100 if there's been nothing wrong with the food and service. never has a meal been bad enough for me to request the included service charge to be removed, fortunately i tip my barber a quid each time mainly because i did it once and kept doing it so if i don't i'd feel awkward...wish i never had in the first place especially since he's put his prices up never tip cab drivers though unless i happen to have cash so it's easier to not **** about with my 70p change. i chuck the lads behind the counter at the bookies a couple of quid occasionally too if i've had a good day (yeah, that's also a thing. never knew until i started frequenting betting shops more regularly)
  12. i imagine said waitress will chuck that money into said pool anyway as would probably lose her job if she's seen to be pocketing it...not worth the risk for a couple of quid
  13. think my transfers are pretty much set this week. solanke, walker, sterling out - foden, adebayo, and an arsenal defender in (white or saliba). the dilemma i have is which 3 to play at the back out of gabriel, saliba/white, porro (potentially out), estupinan, and schar i'll be starting estupinan i think i want to play schar at home to bournemouth as i think they should be looking to keep a CS at home to that lot...but they've been poor at the back lately i also feel like burney have a goal in them so i'm not sure about playing arsenal defenders. tough one
  14. As has been said before, if things weren't good on the pitch, there would be serious ill feeling towards the hierarchy at villa. This letter really is the icing on the cake.
  15. a couple in the upper holte near me got kicked out after the 2nd goal. as others have said, watch the game, keep your mouth shut then i've got no problem with it. if they're paying for the uber expensive terrace view or lower grounds then even better...more money for the club
  16. not a bad start! always curious to know how reputable these leagues can actually get
  17. yeah i closed game without saving. might as well just use the editor if you're going to cheat. just such an odd glitch!
  18. assumed that at some stage, the deal would get cancelled, but goes through. this is city's best player.
  19. I refused to believe this works. But it does. the question i now have is do I do this? I pride myself on not cheating in the game but it's well tempting here
  20. i wonder whether brexit has impacted things in terms of costs of playing here (venues, promotors, bus hire etc). i'm seeing bands who have a big UK followings do full european tours and not include any UK dates pretty frequently now. there must be a reason gig prices are materially more expensive here.
  21. the way i see it is that due to spotify i no longer have to spend money on CDs. also, for the same reason, bands aren't making as much money anymore so i'm willing to pay it for context, i could've gotten a ticket for the rugby on saturday. £145 for a category 2 ticket. and a gig lasts longer than 80 mins. bizarrely festival day tickets still seem reasonable. £115 for a day ticket for liam and catfish & the bottlemen at reading (plus a load of other bands, even if most are crap) is actually decent value compared to solo gig prices these days
  22. man after my own heart. that stuff is phenomenal. once you've tried it you never need to buy another cheddar ever again. that and isle of wight blue are christmas cheese board regulars in my house
  23. you and i must be pretty close. i went from 41k to 168k with 5 consecutive red arrows but back inside top 100k now, more by good fortune than anything else.
  24. then you've just tried the wrong cheese(s) if you're talking about dairylea, babybel, or **** about with cheese like the stuff that has crap like cranberries in, then i agree with you
  25. but he walked down the tunnel under his own power so it can't be that bad can it?
