    Ezri Konsa

People are forgetting that this guy has been our best defender for the best part of a year now. One or two bad games (straight after a bad injury) doesn't define him. In the past, we've seen him let a bad game affect his confidence. Hopefully the Emery effect will see him bounce back.
  2. I think the bigger question is who replaces McGinn's defensive workrate when out of position. Tim will do an ok job beside Luiz but we've seen before that Tielemans can't do the defensive side of that role and Rogers is very much still learning the tactics etc. I wonder if we could see Moreno in the McGinn role offering defensive cover to Digne.
  3. Wonder if we'll appeal it on the off chance that all of the Sky 6 appointed appeals panel members will be off sick
  4. Sky Sports video about the new rules. Hopefully get full rules at some point
  5. I just enjoy seeing renders of any potential new stadiums tbh. The geek in me.
  6. Something decent in the welcome pack too.
  7. Sander Berge as a rotation option anyone? Been playing decent football in a dreadful Burnley team. Imagine he wouldn't cost the earth when Burnley go down
  8. Isn't he on something like £250k p/w at Barca? I think he's been pretty good since his slow start but I wouldn't be looking to sign him on a permanent deal. He's too old and too expensive for us now. Our transfer policy has changed
  9. Surprised there wasn't more talk about the development of the facilities inside Villa Park given the shear number of complaints about toilets, access to food/drink etc. It's all well and good looking at the hospitality section to increase the money but surely they can see that if the average punter can quickly buy a pie and a pint at half time then there is money to be made there.. and if they knew they didn't have to tip toe through a flooded toilet pre match, they might even go for a pie and a pint before the game!
  10. The Canberra Villans. Unless they want to misspell it again...
  11. 45 mins against Forest proved enough for him. Same again against Luton.. start him, score 3 unanswered, take him off and put him in the hyperbaric chamber
  12. I wonder if we might see him in the u21s soon to get him some match fitness
  13. According to the below link, Sanson must start at least 17 Ligue 1 games for Le Gym and Nice must finish 8th or above in France’s top-flight. Morgan Sanson nearing conditions to make OGC Nice move permanent - Get French Football News (getfootballnewsfrance.com) So far he has started 19 games and Nice are 3rd in league so it's on track to be triggered
  14. Lenglet is on £250k p/w at Barca. He'll not be moving anywhere unless it gets matched
  15. Like people have said, we can knock VP down rebuild on roughly the same spot a la Spurs but its everything surrounding Villa Park itself that would be the blocker for that. It would have to be a Man City/Eastlands type of regeneration of Villa Park and the surrounding area and that would cost billions
  16. I've been to a game with a rucksack and like others have said, it was just a quick search and in I went
  17. 19 days until the Spurs game. If the Konsa 3-4 week timeline is accurate (and not Villa being their usual untrustworthy selves when it come to these things), then he could be back for that
  18. I still think he is a good player when he is on his game but he will probably be 4th choice once Mings is back. Great back up option.. shame about the contract ££
  19. I thought about whether Carlos could be up for sale but given he was signed for ?£26m on a 4-year-deal 2 years ago his book value would be £13m.. I don't see us making a big profit on him his summer
  20. I think we will see a lot more of Konsa at RB next season if/when Mings is back. Konsa/Mings/Torres/Moreno would possibly be the first choice defence. Nedeljković, Carlos, Hermoso (who I agree I think we will sign.. pretty much a left sided version of Konsa) and Sousa would be the 'back ups'
  21. I think Cash will go, the Serbian lad will be his likely replacement. That will probably be enough to tide us over (depending on sale price obviously). The big question is the Kamara/Luiz cover. Hopefully we find a gem on a free
  22. I think the January transfer window did some of this for us - Olsen - Gauci signed Chambers - Nedeljkovic signed Hause - Hasn't featured so no impact Lenglet - Mings back Dendoncker - I imagine we will look to replace him Zaniolo - Buendia back Coutinho and Sanson - Rogers signed. The question is actually clearing them out but Monchi will do his thing. Sanson likely to hit the targets that will make his loan permanent, hopefully Napoli take up Dendoncker option and Coutinho has been linked with Inter Miami
