Parasite and Jojo rabbit were the films of the year for me. Found 1917 ok but didn't connect with the characters and it fell gimmicky and the joins were obvious.

I'd say getting us up, keeping us up and 2nd in the league cup is amazing, if we turn citeh over and win the cup I'd say that's ridiculously good. I'd say deano is still learning his profession, with the above In mind and where he has come from, you have to say he is a success story. He wasnt a playing superstar who has has the best clubs and budgets handed to him on a plate, as he has said before, he has earned his chance and I'd say well done deano. ........ if we go back down sack the stup... nah, if we go down, he gets a shot at it for me.

Personally think ace in the hole was his best performance and although its Mitchum's film, out of the past is my favourite film he appeared in, probably in the top 3 best film noir ever made and I have to watch vikings everytime it's on TV, great entertainment.

I dont think any of our star players will leave if we go down, they are part of a long term project and in particular Jack loves Villa and the only reason he would have left last time was because of the financial implications, he would effectively have sacrificed himself to save the future of the club he loves. Said it before, he will never leave this club.

Davis is a sicknote and this is a very smart move, its a no lose situation and who knows, sometimes players just click somewhere, he knows where the net is and can finish, if called upon he is probably as good as what we already have all considered.

I really like Mings Heaton Guilbert Engels Marvelous Luiz Konza, 7 success stories when everything is considered. Before injury Engels looked like an absolute steel and at times looked like he was holding Mings together. Once he gets back to full fitness he will a nailed on starter, Konza is as good a back up as we could expect for and is the right age but probably a tad over priced. Mings and Heaton are the only 2 we signed that were proven high quality starters at this level. There aren't many right backs I'd swap Fred for, love him and he will only get better, an absolute bargain. Marvelous started well and was looking like a bargain Kante, no idea why he went off a bit but seems to be getting back to a decent level and in todays market he looks like good value. Douglas Luiz is a bit inconsistent but for his age I'd say he's doing great and there are glimpses of a player that will grow in to a top class, 15m about right. As for the others, Targett is looking way better in the new system but was pricey in my opinion. Wesley cost too must, we could have spend that kind on money more wisely, however, I cant help thinking there's a player in there and its just the pressure and adjustment to it all that's held him back. Trez is not for me, just not at this standard, tries his heart out and is a lucky MF but nah. Jota and AEG are better players but are the standard we need fighting for a place on the bench and not regular starters.

A few have been excellent and the others that have come from abroad, from weaker leagues have done pretty good considering the step up and everything associated with moving to another country etc etc, comparing it with the likes of gana veretout etc from the moneyball summer, I'd say they are head and shoulders above them in more difficult circumstances and they turned out to be excellent players.

Its a fair enough comment but I don't think your taking into account that we literally started from scratch not long ago, new owners with zero Prem experience, a manager and coaching staff with zero prem management experience, a full squad, mostly new players almost zero prem experience etc etc, add in that we have had injuries to key players, VABASTARDR, kevin w@nker friend, so many posts and crossbars hit, I don't think anyone has scored an own goal against us, I don't think we've fluked a goal (honest, Trez meant all of them), Samatta was millimeters away from scoring a brace on his debut but nerves got in the way, I could go on, we have literally had nothing go for us and yet we're in a position that most fans would give their w@nking arms for. Please mate, if you really are a villa fan, see it for what it is and that is that we are probably miles ahead of where we should be and even if poxy FFP didn't exist and the owners spent treble what we spent in the summer, we would still need time.
