    I get what @Tomaszk is saying though- once Emery does leave will his successor be a similar manager to him with similar playing style or will it be someone totally different again. Smith , Gerrard and Emery 3 totally different playing styles. 3 different types of players needed to succeed.

    People keep referring to the 3-2 game against the Arse. However it was the officiating. Guendouzi had a handful of Trezeguet’s shirt and then the penalty was given, when they scored the free kick they had two men in our wall despite the new rules of not having players within a couple of yards of the defensive wall. And then Sokratis caught the ball at the end and we were denied a penalty. Guendouzi does have a lot of energy though and is good technically.

    The Qataris are looking to buy a club in America too. Las Vegas Villans Qatar…..? Pretty sure Qatar, UAE and one or two others ‘normalised’ relations with Israel recently so I don’t think it’d be a major issue with the Qataris investing in Spuds.

    Thing is we’ve increased our analysis and analytics department. It begs the question what the eff are they doing??? But it seems to me that the overall recruitment is done off FIFA and FM stats. A manager at most ,if done correctly ,should only have 1/2 signings which are solely his the rest should be done through the club’s own agreed processes.
