i think most can do it, but they arent intelligent enough to think about it, be technical and be fluid, or make the right decisions in the moment, when most of them do it right now, its like paint by numbers (like a zombie following a very specific set of instructions regardless of anything else). so yeah, a few cant do it, but also kind of can, in a brainless zombie kind of way, which is a massive problem ofc.

maybe he should do it more often then, its part of his game that works, but he seems to not bother half the time.

Emery likes pace up front. I guess Bailey is our only forward who has genuine pace and can carry the ball (although i dont remember the last time i saw it).

Emery is playing the way he wants to play. Imo, he's implementing his style whether the players like it or not, i guess he is taking the rest of this season to review which of our players can play how he wants, so he will know who needs replacing/offloading in the summer. makes sense tbh, Emery wont compromise i dont think.

maybe Moreno isnt quite up to the required fitness levels to play marauding full back for 90mins (Spain is a fair bit slower play wise). Also, maybe we are also trying give Digne a chance to play himself in to a move in the summer........(and we lose as little cash on him as possible). who knows tho tbh.

would make sense if we are going to be shopping more in the Spanish/South American market. Cant see why anyone would go to barca, they have no money, and just free transfer any player they can so they can sell them on or bulk their squad out, not much for a DoF to do there tbh. would also make sense to get a new DoF in way before summer also, so they can start working on deals now.

i dont mean this negatively, its just an observation (ie: my opinion), it will click when we improve the team with a few more players who are capable of playing the system Emery wants, i would guess we prob need at least 4 new starters to really have the technical/physical/athletic attributes to suit Emery's style. I really hope he is backed to the hilt in the summer, because i think Emery's system played well, by an entire team suited to it, would be great to watch.
