  1. A bit slow making the pass... curse of no Pau. But Luton are playing extremely high intensity. They won't be able to keep it up.
  2. They changed the rule though, it doesn't matter if its away from the body. It's just if it's "unnatural". Obviously, the ref has no idea what constitutes a natural position for a professional footballer.
  3. The hand has to be in an unnatural position. It wasn't, he played the ball and If his arm wasn't there to counterbalance he'd have fallen over.
  4. 3 blatant wrong decisions against Watkins in the space of two minutes. Then he gave us a soft free kick for Konsa being pressured so who knows. Maybe just rubbish like them all
  5. Watkins: "Ref that's a f#@king joke that is"
  6. Watkins pulled back but not a foul. Ref set to **** us over it seems
  7. Never a handball. Poor decision ref
  8. Ten Hag could use the to support his case he needs more protection. I.e. he's not getting awarded the free kicks he should be. The fact he already gets more than he should would be glossed over. Just like the fact he dived was glossed over by the media who ran with the story that he deserves more protection and Fulham were meanies for posting a clip about him. Rather than the actual evidential fact that he'd dived and faked injury. The rat faced prick gets already way more protection than he should. I hate them.
  9. Probably to do with the fact he'll cost 100m
  10. To be fair, players that we've signed during his timeframe were by and large very good anyway. So whether he was responsible or not probably isn't something to criticise him for. It's the manager shenanigans that were the main issue. Yes, the owners would have agreed to SG coming in, but he was no doubt the instigator of the action, and very much finger on the button for firing him (and had to have the big bosses pull the trigger for him).
  11. I think that's what I'd expect... it would be preferable to go strong to start and then bring them off if we're winning, but if there's any doubt we'll have to take the "hope we don't need them" route and avoid temptation if things are looking particularly dicey. Good news overall that they're both borderline, we just need to not aggravate their return.
  12. According to @Dale who spoke to him there, he apparently said this on the not buying the excuses given for the North stand delays:
  13. I think that's a fair complaint of him based on what we know and what we can guess. He seems to wants to do everything, when he should stick to those things he's exceptional at. If he could agree to a specific and reduced role, and assuming bridges weren't burnt, I'd have him back over Heck. His comments to the villa fans in a pub in London don't really seem like the kind of thing he'd say for the sake of it. If true, and i tend to believe they are, they are genuinely concerning regarding what our plans are for the North stand.
  14. Well we haven't changed anyone's name or colours, and the only suggestion of it here is a running joke. The clubs we Co own have done so through a vote that they approved. There's not much bad seemingly happened, and we've sent players on loan to one of them. Agree that not owning and just having an agreement is preferred if we can rely on them though
  15. But you're proclaiming that you know which one he'd use if Mings was still fit, and it wouldn't be the one he used the first game of the season? He'd have used variations of all of them throughout the season, and had Pau got injured instead, he'd have just rejigged the backline to accommodate it like he has done with Mings injured. We don't need another Pau, IF Mings comes back fully functional. I feel like you're setting yourself up for disappointment if you think we'll sign Lenglet (or an alternative to him). Obviously, if they have doubts about Mings then that isn't the case, but I'm talking about the situation where he comes back to pre season and looks fine.
  16. It obviously won't compare to a new stand designed to cater for that from the off. But that doesn't mean they should ignore it and can't do anything to improve what is already there.
  17. Unlikely. That kind of information is locked behind regulatory secret walls. PwC are our auditors so not like they'd have got it through their work either, and accidentally revealed it. Maybe some educated guess work on their side Edit: realised you probably already know this so actually wondering now why you think they might have?
  18. I dont think we'll ever know if Purslow could have negotiated a deal with Adidas if the club had been in the champions league spots when he did so. When we signed with Castore, it was seen as a good improvement on our existing contract monetarily, and at the time was probably the best we could expect given similar clubs. It is fair to give Heck some credit for it, but as to whether we couldn't have done the same with Purslow I guess we'll never know. My gut doesn't really give me a good feel about him, but my trust in the owners does, so if he really gets things wrong I've got confidence they'll correct it at the very least.
  19. I think you hit the nail on the head with the last sentence. They know the badge doesnt have the desired impact. So they're going to release it when there is much better news to unveil along with it. The issue they may face is we already know about the Adidas deal (if not the amount), and the badge is already revealed by the trademarks. Unless they can pull a rabbit out the hat (by stating the shirt deal is worth 40m, or unveiling a completely unseen badge that we all love, or a new shirt sponsor) I don't see them being able to generate quite the positive effect from that they may envisage. The playing down of the shirt sponsor thing could well be a way for them to lower expectations and then surprise us though so fingers crossed I guess.
  20. Once again, the notes just sound like a business replying to a customer complaint using a blanket template response. And the tone is one of complete disregard and disrespect of the people asking the question. If the tone of the meeting was positive, it doesnt take a genius to make the tone of the club's response sound less like it was written by a complete arsehole. Overall, some not particularly positive messaging in respect of the badge, and general indication that we're just ploughing blindly ahead with whatever they want to do and ignoring fan input.
  21. You are aware Mings played that role last season?
  22. If Mings comes back we don't need Lenglet or a replacement. We do need a Carlos or his replacement, and if Konsa is to be a right back we probably need another RCB.
