  1. 10pm KO if I am correct and we're off to a great start because I don't have to wake up in the middle of the night to watch it.. Come on Villa! double digit winning streak you can do it!
  2. What do you think is an ethical time frame to tell someone you're seeing that you've been diagnosed as schizophrenic? I've just been trusting my intuition on who will react well, neutrally or poorly and so far so good. The common response is, "You? No way." "Never would have guessed." etc. But that's with relationships in general and not women that I am dating. I'm not particularly worried about revealing it, despite it being likely to make some women think twice. I just think it's something they should know, so I don't have to hide my past and we can enjoy a relationship that has honesty and integrity as a foundation.
  3. No one told me you can't eat a sh*tty burger that's been left out for 6 hours. Thanks for the heads up assholes.. If I wasn't so busy being sick, I might have some energy for embarrassment.. I didn't want to be wasteful and now I'm emitting more methane than the cows.
  4. Don't know how I forgot Mills and Bogut but Bolden is a name new to me. We're quite well represented then.. Wouldn't have a clue myself but is there a country outside of the U.S better represented than Australia in the playoffs? We're third most on opening night to Canada but I think we might have the most now it's playoffs.. Portland had a 10-20 point buffer throughout the 3rd and 4th quarter. OKC were wasteful for large parts and never really scared despite getting within 7..
  5. Who are others supporting this playoff series? Any tips for current or coming match-ups?
  6. Seeing as Chicago's not in the mix, I might as well get behind another team this playoff series. Love seeing the Aussies do well.. Simmons, Baynes and Ingles are the only remaining Aussies (Maker's about to be swept and Exum not playing) as far as I know. Would be cool to see Denver go far. Same as Toronto. Both have never won it. Can't go past Milwaukee though. I'm also Greek, he's a Freak. My brother goes for them and there's a Villa connection. Will be rooting for Portland over OKC today though.
  7. In case you missed the highlight of the LA Lakers season (easily one better than recruiting LBJ)...
  8. This is what Lillard thinks of your 3pt game Paul George!
  9. I had a good stream for the 2nd half. What can I say? Well worth staying up to watch.
  10. Thankfully he's a Villan himself. And we will be able to pay his wages. Wonder what kind of interest he'll attract, if any, if he succeeds in what a champions league winning manager, likewise a promotion guru, failed to do?
  11. We can beat anyone in this league, I'm confident of that. However would prefer to avoid Leeds if we can. Anyone following my posts would know that I never wrote us off for promotion, even when things weren't so good. I still think there's some way to go though. 12 points to play for and 5 point advantage on 7th. I don't want to s*** on people reveling but if we fail to get a win in our next two (however unlikely), we could miss out. I guess all I'm saying is every game is still a must win until we've done it and secured our position Because lose or draw the next two and we then have the 2nd and 3rd best teams in the competition (we would be 1st my friends!)
  12. Statistically I've never missed a Premier League goal attempt and you've never made one. Both are true statements. Therefore we can conclude I am the better player? See what I did there? Numbers don't lie, that's true, but humans are more than capable of misconstruing their significance.
  13. Great position to be in. Let's make the most of it fellas!
  14. What a game we have on our hands!
  15. I didn't see the game so don't mind me, but I saw the 10 minute highlights, and as a pro athlete myself, I can't identify a lack of effort or fight from us in the first half. Earned ourselves a penalty, created chances. If it wasn't for Mings' handball, I don't know where Rotherham's lead would've come from. Does a blip of 3 seconds define 45mins? I am completely ignorant to what Mings' first yellow was about. But I do know what ensued from Villa players. Fight and effort from thereon in. Absolutely chuffed I am.
  16. Saw the Rotherham highlights earlier today. This is a young man, carrying a club on his shoulders at the moment, a club that was on its knees, a fallen giant. Giants are heavy bastards. Grealish then has the audacity to serve up passes on a silver platter for his teammates. The guy's just a pure gentlemen!
  17. I need an AVTV subscription. 5am start to the day just to realise you are unable to watch the match because there's no stream. Not ideal. What is ideal though, is that we managed to miss a penalty and then come back from a goal down with 10 men to take another step in the promotion direction!!
  18. Tits aren't such a bad thing. And it looks like we're going up. Win-win situation if you ask me.
  19. Not trying to downplay your experience, I can only gather so much from a single line of text over a computer screen. But what you're describing to me sounds like you have a condition most commonly known as 'human'. People burst into tears all the time. Grown men do it when they are observing other grown men put a leather ball into the back of a net. We get down sometimes. But honestly if you're concerned about it open up to someone with a little more insight than myself. Could be the end of it right there. Sorry to read that it's affecting your life in all areas.
  20. Had to leave uni after an hour of arriving last week and took yesterday off work with the advisory board. Just needed some downtime to myself. As I posted earlier in the thread, I was diagnosed as schizophrenic some years ago. It's incredible to reflect on how I was when I was in the midst of all that. I don't really want to go in to the details, but something happened last week which made me question if I was having my first positive symptom in years. I have explained the situation to friends and professionals and the feedback I have received from everyone is that it does not appear to be a positive symptom. Some things in this world are truly far-fetched. Truth can be stranger than fiction. I am talking about MK-ULTRA type psychological operations. It's no wonder my clinician friends in the psychiatry department think I'm bonkers, they are so sheltered in some regards. How could they understand? I don't expect anyone on here to understand or relate to this post, because it's pretty vague. Deliberately so. I guess it's been a pretty amazing experience to come out of schizophrenia with a sound mind. I was in a lot of trouble in those years. Trauma got the better of me. Having a bit of a weird week. The thought of having a positive symptom and slipping into another nightmare was terrifying. I'm certain death would be kinder. You never know what some people have been through. You never know what some people have put others through. To finish I'll remind people to be kind to yourself and those around you and take care in the way. The casualties of war don't have a share in the spoils. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing.
  21. It's not often but have wondered about Louis Theroux when i've come across him.
  22. My professional basketball career is back on track and moving in a good direction. Some may remember that I missed out on signing for a club this season. While I was not worried about my ability dwindling just yet, at 29, my days playing at professional levels are limited, missing out on a year of competition was not preferable. However, I have been selected to play in a new association, the competition being created in 2018 and specifically setup to get Australian players professional contracts in Asia. We are not paid to play in this competition, however it has attracted the top scorers from Australia's top tiers, as the competition is a platform to impress the Asian scouts. I know it is run by Asians and every game is streamed live. Each team has a cheerleader squad. They obviously have in depth statistical records for players and teams. They have managed to secure many players who are already playing professionally in Australia, so they obviously have some credibility in regard to the contracts in Asia. Pre-season has started and I have established myself as a starter and someone who will put good numbers on the board. It's a good thing to have the confidence of your team. I've been playing for 24 years now, if I've learned anything it's that you can't walk into a new setup and expect it to be the same as the last. Despite the goal being to put leather ball in round ring, everyone brings a different outlook, experience, attitude etc. Some guys just want to hype themselves and forget the team. Some guys are so selfless their talent goes unnoticed by onlookers who are looking for that 'superstar'. I've been chatting with basketball heads since I found out about the league and people are telling me you can make a good living off basketball in Asia. Sorry to bore you all with that haha but I'm excited for a new challenge. And finally a quick update on the tournament I played in earlier this year, we didn't win the $10,000 prize money but it was a great day and we certainly made the highlights reel.
