    It's quite funny how badly the other English sides have shit the bed this season in Europe the one time we rely on them.

    I don't mind admitting that I almost obsess over getting CL qualification. I would absolutely love to win the UCL and break our trophy duck, but I'm equally as excited about being in the CL. The UCL is a newly formed competition, great to win, but the CL is the tournament I've been watching since I started getting into football and my dream as a Villa fan is to experience that song at VP just once.

    Yesterday was disappointing, but tonight's games have always been the most important in 5th place becoming a CL spot. If both English teams go through tonight then we're still in pole position to get the spot.

    Something is definitely going on, it probably has something to do with redeveloping VP, it could be that they think we need a new stadium to push on. You can't rule anything out, they've contradicted themselves in the past regarding the North Stand and other areas surrounding the club, so who knows. I highly doubt it will be a new stadium though, there hasn't been a single rumour of a potential site for one and they aren't just going to come out of the blue and say 'oh we're building a stadium here, we just haven't told anyone'. We will surely hear something about this before the summer, I'd guess it will be to do with the North Stand and nothing else, but maybe they have bigger ideas and want to redevelop other stands too. I'm just glad the owners appear all in, we won't get better owners than the ones we have, you just get the sense they know exactly what they're doing.

    God I **** hated that team. Richards, Guzan, Bacuna, LESCOTT! I've managed to wipe it from my memory that much that I have clearer memories of the MON team. I think I gave up watching any of the games by about March that season. Horrid.
