Ive seen his type through my years.... Very likeable, a certain charm that allows them to get away with a little more than most and an instinct for what they do....... BUT they just abuse and over use these qualities and undoubtedly the fact they just can't be assed ever putting in the extra effort shines through.

I train apprentices and they are younger than Jack. You can tell very early on who will make it and who won't. I know bugga all about high level football but I like to think I know a lot about attitude and application. Jack won't make it. I could be wrong but I don't think I will be.

Exactly, if I slacked off for a third of my shift not only would I get a rollicking but also I would be putting pressure on all my colleagues, and there would be a lot of unhappy customers. Oh, and I get paid f all to do my job.

I agree, I don't think it should be seen as bagging him or anything, factually he is a disappointment to himself, his club, and country. He is not getting the most out of himself and serving those who pay him poorly. He could go on to be the greatest player that ever lived, but that won't change the fact that right now he is just plainly and simply disappointing as a football player.

Cmon that's stretching it a bit, these comments aren't resistance. Maybe you're seeing something that isn't there. Jack Grealish isn't good enough to play for Villa (at the moment), but he is a bloody top bloke off the field. Hope that sorts it.

Fair play to him and good on you for posting it but I'm only questioning his attitude towards his football. I don't think myself or anyone has said anything about his personal life other than when he is daft enough to let things become public news. Basically I genuinely think what he has done in the community is fantastic, However I genuinely don't want him in the first team and by next season possibly not on the bench either.

I don't rate him..... Have watched and waited for his potential to materialise. I know he is only 21 but his attitude for me is just not there. Plenty of 21 olds with less talent but better application, and hence more 'potential' to become better footballers. An opinion only.

As an Aussie, I have to disagree with you last point.

Not many understand my joy at the end of daylight savings, don't get me wrong I enjoy the extra sunshine. Its all about the football!

I don't care of it its only the championship. It would be epic..... It would go down in history ...... If we make the playoffs. I don't profess to have any clue as to what will happen but I'm enjoying thinking about it.

Its going to be very hard to replace him, an understudy could takes years of training. Do you know how long it takes to become a Jedi?

I firmly believe we will play differently next year. Give it 6 games of next season and if I'm wrong I'll humbly admit I'm wrong. The reality we were a joke of a club and our players were a bunch of disorganized misfits less than 12 months ago. Its just my opinion but this season has just about filled my expectations. We are a better club than we were than this time last year and that makes me happy enough. Automatic promotion next season though.

Is this fun or what? I'm absolutely loving it. It has to have been what 8-9 years since there was something exciting for us to follow in the league.

We are winning again, but because we aren't having enough possession and the football we are playing isn't pretty..... BRUCE OUT. Nb I'm at work, haven't watched or listened to any of the game but its my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

Snap. That's just it. They were happy with beautiful football until they started losing. Now they just want to win again. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder The beautiful Aston Villa in my eyes is one that is winning football matches (preferably on TV) with Villa park full and really noisy so I can hear the singing. That is the prettiest AVFC I could ever imagine.

Don't hear any Chelski supporters complaining after they 1-0 their way to the league a few years back. (I'm not being literal either) How many times last season did Leicester have more than 50% of the possession. Bet their fans don't give a toss. If all some of you have left to try and slate SB is because we aren't playing tika taka then you don't know how good you've got it. The only stat I care to remember each morning I wake up is we have taken 18 out of the last 21 points. Brings a smile every time. Some of you should try it. I mean being happy that is. Or maybe after being miserable for the last 6 years you don't know any other way.

So I ended up signing, Dimata - 15 mill Venancio - 1.8 mill Khazri - 8.5 mill Nordvelt - 4.1 mill Flanagan - 6.5 mill Plus 3 young players. 4 games in, 1 win 3 losses but am still pretty happy. Played reasonably in the losses and like that the new signings have bedded in quickly. Thanks to those who gave me suggestions of signings. One thing I've noticed is that it seems really hard to sell players, even at £0 price tag no takers for decent players.
