Gutted. One of the first Villa players I knew when I started following...... Feel sorry for his family. Having experienced sudden death in the family it knocks you about. Does anyone know if he has kids?

I'm 38 and still fighting the battle of giving up ciggies. Needless to say I randomly stopped smoking yesterday. Hopefully this time I make it. Does anyone know how he is. Hope the big U is recovering.

i think he was signed at a time where automatic promotion was envisaged in which case they threw money at who they thought would do that. I'm not saying it was smart. In fact it has proved to be quite dumb. However if Ross had played his part in our promotion then I think his wages could be justified. Hindsight. The friend that's never around until its too late too help.

I love these random threads. I drive a 2005 Mitsubishi Pajero. Its getting a bit old now but was the nicest car I'd ever bought. A beast for towing the caravan.

I have some bad news everyone. I have just scene the trailer the new star wars and there is a line in there, stating 'no more Jedi's'. I think we may need re think our plans to replace him and maybe focus our attention on an alternative, maybe a Chewbacca would do the job.

But then if the new managers success hangs on them having a pre season and a transfer window then its highly likely they will be as big a risk as Bruce. I was under the impression there was a manager out there that would absolutely guarantee that they will get us promoted. If that isn't the case. Then Bruce stays for mine. As some have said give him the chance to get off to a good start. With the squad we will have assembled by then, and if Bruce is as bad as some claim then it should be easy for any manager to come in and sort us out.

But surely if we get a manager made of the right stuff like you're advocating, he won't need any excuses. His talent as manager and his ability to implement his style should mean he will be afine with the squad we have.

Why do people still say get rid of Richards and Gabby, no one is going to buy them and they are unlikely to give up their hard earned Villa wages. So unless 'get rid' in the Mafia underworld sense, which I think is a little OTT, then its a pointless discussion.

If I can stay awake long enough I can actually follow this game. Do I drink more or have a coffee or go lie down? If I watch the game then we have no hope. The last time I saw Villa win was August 2015.
