Yep Gabby is still here, I have decided to try and sign Sam Vokes, this year just gonna try and survive because I think if I can stay up this seeaon I can finish getting this club sorted.

So my 2nd season and 1st in the Premier League is taking shape. I've only made 3 signings so far, Rakjovic (gk), McGuire (cb), Garbett (DL) I've shipped a lot out on loan, can't get rid of McCormack or Richards which is irritating. Am very disappointed with the transfer budget Xia gave me. Only 27 million. I only have 8.5 left, I'm worried I havnt improved my attacking at all. I'm thinking about buying khazri but also think I might need another striker. Really am annoyed at the shoestring budget I was looking forward to buying a bit more quality.

We could be in trouble with this one. I'm in July 2017 on my FM save and currently can offload him...... And my asking price is £0

If he has any slight interest in coming back and playing, I would hope our club is capable of showing him that everything has changed and he would be treated fairer and played more often. He might come back. I know I'm bias, I really like him as player and rate him. My FIFA and FM saves prove it.

Because Timmy didn't like him, so Timmy alienated him to prove his point. Veretout was messed around and mis managed before he even pulled on his boots and tied his laces.

Let's get Tekkers back, I'm positive that he would rather be playing for us again.... Problem he is too stubborn to come crawling back. Can you imagine if you could've told him 2 years ago that he would be playing for Palace in 2 years time hardly scoring and flirting with relegation. Nb I don't care that we are in the championship, I'm having one of those arrogant villa fan moments where I still think we're a top 10 premier league team.

Not having to listen to Eric Black do press conferences is a clear sign that this year is not one of the worst.

Can anyone recoomend any players I should go after now I have villa in the Premier League. Bearing mind I hate buying the finished product and dont like signing players over 25. I want to build the mother of all villa teams.

OK beat Brentford in a penalty shootout, after winning 1-0 away and then losing 1-0 at home. Played wolves in playoff final. MOST EPIC GAME OF FM CAREER. Lead 2-0 at half time, by full time is 2-2.... Extra time Kodjia scores in the 93rd (3-2) Elphick own goal in the 100th (3-3) Andi Weimann scores 101st (3-4) Kodjia scores in the 120th (4-4) Went on to win the penalty shootout 4-3... With Johnstone making the winning save. I'm exhausted. Mentally. Physically. Emotionally. I need a rest before I even think about next season. (Tried to load a screenshot but I can't do it )

Seems I'm alone in this thread already, oh well I have no problem reading my own posts just a shame I can't like them...... End of the regular fixtures I have finished 3rd, couldn't catch Newcastle..... But someone did. Sheffield Wednesday have won the championship! I have a 2 leg playoff against Brentford, I'm probably expected to win but I have very poor form leading into them. Injuries, suspensions, strikers not scoring, goalkeepers conceding have all lead to a rocky last few games. Lost 3-0 and won 4-0 in consecutive matches. I'm feeling a bit awkward hence why I haven't played the playoffs yet, part me of course wants to win my way through to promotion. Back to Premier League and Villa's rightful position but I also don't want to be a struggle club next season, I want to go back in good stead for a successful climb up the league.

Its sad to think that there were probably a few VTers out there that wanted us to lose so they could reinforce their view with rhetoric for another week. Most of us fans just want hope, and right now Bruce and the boys are giving us a glimmer. I just want us to enjoy this last chance saloon called the playoffs. If you can't believe, if you can't hope, if you can't dream..... Well what the bloody hell is the point.

Can't work out why but this thread isn't as tiresome, boring and repetitive as last week. Lots of well articulated opinions and honest debate, its quite lovely to be honest. Just can't put my finger on what is different.

@terrytini lots of love and respect coming your way mate, but cudos to you like I've said to you before, you're opinion is valid because of how you write it. I disagree with you wholeheartedly but I still read your posts and enjoy a different point of view. Many others on this site could learn a lot from you on how to get your POV without alienating everyone. Look forward to your post after our next win

I live outside of Adelaide, the only city in the world that had a one way freeway. Dumbest idea ever. Now after many hundreds of millions of dollars wasted, we have a two way freeway. Prepare for the future now, it is much much cheaper. In case any one cared how it worked. The freeway was one way into the city from 2am till 1230pm then it closed till 2pm and opened out of the city till 1230am and closed til 2am, and so forth. Exceptional on weekends when it was the opposite way around. Confusing?

10 games to go in my first season, Newcastle are looking clear in 1st and I have Villa in 4th but only 2 points off 2nd. Sold Amavi in January to Liverpool for 12.5 mill plus another 3.5 mill in possible add ons. Hogan literally gets injured every time he plays his first game back from injury. Last time he got injured in the last 10 mins, I only brought him in on in the 75th minute. Very happy with the team, the football being played and morale. Steer is has been my greatest joy, and Hogan has been my biggest disappointment. In past FM's I have always had very poor domestic bias so it is an important factor in this save for me.
