As most of our players can't pass more than 10 yds, westwood provides the link between, receives a 5 yd pass then makes a 5 yd pass. That way we can move the ball over longer distances! Genius really.
This looks positive indeed. We now have people with Villa in their hearts and football experience. Let's see how this translates into our close season action. I don't expect them to talk about potential investment yet but let's hope money will be made available and a real intent to push for promotion is declared. I know it's hard to be positive after all we've been through but I'm not willing to just rubbish everything we do.
Dwight Yorke in the news again stating his case for the job, the case being that he loves Villa and can get us back up. Hmmm no thanks Yorkie.

No doubt if he was employed in a role similar to his last be could've brought some more revenue in. The CEO role was too much for him and his reputation is now too far gone to go back to that role with us.
Could have been useful employed as a commercial man as at Arsenal but how on earth he landed the CEO job baffles me. Good riddance to more expensive waste. I just hope he's replaced by someone who knows what they're doing.
He is a prize ***** from what I've seen of him and it does no favours in getting fans back onside. However, just because he's on the board, it doesn't mean he is the board. Surely decisions will be made as a group, and having Bernstein and King at the same table gives me more confidence that Krulak won't be calling the shots. I get that Lerner wants someone he trusts (quite why God only knows), let's just hope he keeps his mouth shut and doesn't get in the way.
Maybe they can set up on call of duty in the corner while the grown ups talk business.
I've got no problem with signing lower league players, IF they are the quality ones that perform for their clubs. We've signed too many that aren't even the best at their league 1 club! Westwood, Lowton, Stevens, Bennett, Bunn to name a few
Bacuna.. No.. Westwood! No, erm Veretout... Erm yep absolutely no one!
We're soon to be a championship team so he will come very much in handy. We just need to make sure there's a positive, motivated vibe around next years team so he can flourish. Easier said than done I know.
Whatever he did, he didn't do it well. Maybe not all his fault as it seemed he was operating in a new role to him, it seems the board are making changes in the right direction. Time will tell and of course the leadership is only the start, but if they can get that right and follow up with backing for the manager, then maybe we can start to change things.
