  1. Yep. I was saying this recently, I’d happily go back to queuing outside if it meant limited numbers and more space inside. Instead, they’re just trying to coin as much in as possible. Late on is definitely the way forward, after 11pm is a nice time to go.
  2. My wife stopped at Morrison’s on the way home for some veg for dinner. She said it’s the worst she’s ever seen it, queues down all the aisles, no social distancing and shelves empty. This is in an area that’s staying in Tier 3, literally nothing has changed and people are still panicking like morons.
  3. Maybe, it just winds me up to hear her constant moaning.
  4. I don’t understand it either. The neighbour teacher said her school hasn’t even suggested using Zoom/Teams. She’s just emailed work and marked whatever came back, which was only a small percentage. I was training people through Teams within a week of being sent home. How come I can do it but they can’t or won’t.
  5. Boris now saying schools are safe, the danger comes from households mixing. Of course, we all know that kids from different households don’t mix in schools.
  6. Picture a 60 year old English teacher with long grey hair and saggy tits, then imagine her more ugly sister and you won’t be far off. I’ll let you decide if you WB.
  7. My lad will be at home til the 11th then, good job he’s self motivated in revising for his A Levels because his teachers have not exactly embraced remote learning technology. The secondary school English teacher next door will be most pleased that she’s got an extra week or so off. She’s already complained that two weeks holiday wasn’t enough, despite her spending the summer ‘WFH’, sunbathing in the garden
  8. 50k new cases and 981 deaths, regardless of which of the last few days these came from, is really quite concerning.
  9. 2020 has been a year like no other, and I know it’s affected everyone in different ways, with so many having had a terrible time. But for me I’ve really enjoyed this year. Working from home has given me so much more quality time with my family, better work/life balance and my health has improved massively. I quit drinking 346 days ago and have lost three stone, I’ve never been as healthy as I am now. I’ve been really lucky in keeping my job without furlough, plus I spent the first two weeks of this year in Sri Lanka and got to celebrate my 40th before the first lockdown. There’s been some sad parts, and some difficult times with family and illness. And for my kids, I really want things back to normal in 2021 so they can get on with doing all the things young people want to do. Just like we did when we were 18. The vaccine can’t come soon enough. I wish you all a positive, happy and healthy new year. VT is the best forum there is, and you all make it that way
  10. Well I live in Yorkshire nowadays and around here it’s customary to have a team of whippets and ferrets to carry it home.
  11. I really really hope we beat these tomorrow, for plenty of reasons but also because I cannot stand Solskjaer. I want to see that stupid grin wiped from his ugly face and hear him complaining that it’s unfair his team lost.
  12. I did something similar yesterday. Cleared out two massive bags of DVDs and about 40 books. Like you say the films will all be online and I rarely read a book twice. Feels great to get rid of clutter, just a shame the space will be full of new clutter this time next year!
  13. Elton John Yoko Ono Bobby Charlton Murray Walker Prince Philip
  14. Exactly this. In all probability we won’t finish top 4 or 6, but... what if we did manage it. That’s an exciting thought, and a nice thing to contemplate. I don’t buy the “expect us to be shite and anything else is a bonus” thought process. Optimism is a much more pleasurable mindset.
  15. Here you go, he makes a few appearances and offers some sage advice about bitches, amongst all the shots of trainers.
  16. Woke up to find it’s white over, about 5cm and it’s still coming down. Looks beautiful, but could do without it today. I’ve got to drive my son to his theory test at 9am.
  17. Showed a maturity in his performance tonight. His defensive positioning off the ball was good, and he had some nice touches. So close with that curling shot, that would have been some entrance to the game so soon after coming on.
  18. The only downside is his ‘music’. The less said about that, the better
  19. Hause has earned his starting place against Man United, he’s been excellent this last week. I’m in favour of playing those in form until their performances dictate otherwise.
  20. Iron Bru infused meatballs and speed. He’s like a maniac out there sometimes. So dogged and determined to win the ball, but with a large splash of classy technique. His passing can be exquisite and that shot off crossbar would have been some goal. He’s a pretty decent dribbler too. The dribbling ability in our team is insane now. Grealish, Traore, El Ghazi and McGinn are all tricky lil ****. It’s such a joy to watch.
