I'm slightly annoyed at my selections too. I got the win but there is a points target I've been trying to hit and this was the closest I have come. If I'd played Van Dijk or Hazard started then I would have hit my target.
On first reading it does appear to say that Kalinic achieved the required points but the panel chose that he was not up to the neccessary quality and rejected his permit. If this is the case then I am very curious as to who was actually on the panel and how they decided he was not good enough? If they hold the power of veto irregardless off points acheived; based solely on their subjective ideas of his quality then this process is very dependant on who actually sits on the panel and is completely unfair and arbitrary.
I am also very interested to know who the conflict of interest refers to?
I'll have to try this next leg day.
Have you ever elevated the heel for back squats? I have had issues with my wrists in the past and cannot do front squats.
I think we signed a backup striker in Gestede and we missed out on signing a main striker; and we would be in a much better position now if we had a genuine frontman.
I do like Ayew (red card aside) but he is not a traditional striker.
I think the issue of backup options predates Hollis.
I've been using Creatine Monohydrate powder for ages but the granules never dissolve 100% and want to switch to pill form. Most of the stuff I've ever bought has been from MyProtein but I'm curious if anyone can reccommend anywhere else.
Not come across this thread before - I need to actually explore VT a bit more I think. That 1000 rep challenge seems intense.
Two questions for you all.
1. Does anybody use lifting shoes and do you feel they are worth the investment? I've always just done heavy legwork in my socks.
2. Can anyone reccommend a good place to buy creatine pills? I want to switch from the powder as I'm starting to hate the 'bittiness' (for want of a better word).
Most people were fighting over forwards which let me grab the midfield stars easier then it should be. If we did the draft again my team would be very different.
It also helps that we have a 'boogey' team with restrictions on only picking English players. My uncle is doing it this year but whoever wins this year gets the handicap next (in our league not a merged one).
There are only 4 players in my league as most people I know didn't like the sound of it. I know a few people who have changed their mind now that thye have seen it and want in. Because of this everyone has quite stacked teams and I've traded well.
My full team is:
De Gea
Van Dijk
Monreal
Fuchs
Ivanovic
Ozil
Payet
De Bruyne
Erikson
Hazard
Cabaye
Tadic
Sanchez
Arnautovic
Firmino
Afobe
I think to really make a league work you need at least eight people.
I generally play 3-5-2 but sometimes 4-5-1 depending on fixtures. I have always played the full midfield as I have a lot of strength there and it's usually what wins me the fixture.
I'm 3-5-2 and very midfield heavy. I have Sanchez, Afobe, Firmino and Arnautovic up front and thinking of dropping one to pick up another midfielder.
It's interesting seeing different people's take on tactics.
That's an decent forward line, what formation do you normally play?
All of our guys stack the midfield with 5 players and nobody has more then 4 forwards.

I think he looks in better shape than Gabby at the minute.
