  1. Hopefully the fact he doesn't get one after been here for over 10 years will make him realise what a waste of space he became and how he threw away a great career, but it's gabby so he probably won't care.
  2. If you are a professional footballer you want to have the best career possible and in order to do that you want to be playing in the highest league. Should not be held back by a club just because you support them.
  3. Do you not think we need a safe pair of hands now over some overrated lunatic who just ups and leaves as and when?
  4. Surely the fact Leeds want Bruce ahead of Bielsa tells you something? And how can he even be considered a good manager? Done nothing for about 30 years now, just a "character" I suppose it's what most fans want now, a manager who runs up and down touchline shouting orders trying to play attacking footbal.
  5. We was heading the same way as Sunderland until he came in how can people not see that. He spent money rebuilding an awful, awful side and turned us around into promotion contenders, we could have gone up, we was so close so it's not failing miserably. I can understand fans wanting him out for reasons even though I don't agree with them but to say it was failing miserably is completely incorrect.
  6. He went for 3.5 because of a relegation clause, he's worth a lot more than that.
  7. Failed miserably lol Failing miserably would have been getting relegated 1st season like what we was heading for when he came in but he turned it around. Then you could say failing miserably would have been mid table finish with no push for play offs. We got to a play off final and lost by 1 goal, that's it.
  8. You do know Dean Smith literally takes the training sessions and that's about it? Pretty much everything else is done through other people, pretty sure someone mentions a few pages back some of the substitions wasn't even down to him.
  9. Did we sell him for 7 or something daft? Easily worth 10 plus at the time, be looking around the 25 million mark now if anyone wanted him
  10. Think we would be lucky to still have him here come August. We are hardly going to be an attractive opportunity now are we!
  11. I actually hope he goes to spurs, it will be the best move for his career and he will go far rather than being held back by us just because he supports us. Not sure where he would fit currently in that spurs side though, he is way off dele ali standard atm.
  12. 12 points for going into administration, which is a lot considering we will have sold a lot of our players come August. We was 25/1 to get relegated and now at 8/1
  13. I'd love to know what happens in these "fit and proper" meetings they do with potential owners.
  14. I think it'll be just Tony left at the end of the week by the sounds of things!
  15. He played for arsenal, worked under pep and is Spanish so obviously he would have us playing fast atracking free flowing tika taka football by September. In all seriousness though I doubt he'd even be interested, he will surely want a bigger gig than a club with no money to spend and such high expectations, just not a good way to start your managing career in my opinion.
  16. Last time he was here he had a fight with agbonlahor and kicked off with Delph then was moved on after 6 months for basically been an absolute tool so I dunno why you'd think he'd keep a good dressing room. MON would spend our entire 2.75 million transfer budget on wages for a right back we never play so that's also a no from me. Next ridiculous suggestion please.
  17. So a worse version of Steve Bruce then?
  18. Proper embarrassing this is. I bet you £50 we are closer in points to the play offs than the relegation zone come end of next season.
  19. Completely agree with him to be fair.
  20. Yep, we now need to fix around 10 years worth of mistakes, I'd happily sit in the Championship for next 3 years in and around mid table if I could see other things improving like reducing the wage budget, bringing in more youth players that are actually decent. The problem with this is fans are impatient, especially villa fans, we could be 4 months in with a new manager with new ideas trying this route but the bedsheets would be out because we are not in top 6.
  21. Also in a year's time he would have 1 year left on his deal here so would make more sense to not buy him untill then and get him a lot cheaper than pay 40 million to not use him for a year anyway.
  22. 5'11 James Chester about 5'6, I actually think bree at centre back might actually work.
  23. In the same article it says he left lazio after 2 days in charge and walked out on marsielle after first game of the season, add that to the fact he is a pretty unsuccessful manager why would you want him? Because pep and poch like him? Arsene wenger liked remi garde and he's f'in terrible.
