Big difference between playing in the Championship and the Premier league. He was a quality player prior to injury that can't be denied, he only has to be half the player he was and he's still be better than what we currently have.

We sign bolasie, targett and a competent cb I think we go up but we need those signings especially the cb.

Well they finished 6 points of play offs so maybe if they set up not to lose a few times they'd have got there.

I can now see why Bruce starts him at right back. You could see at Yeovil he's nowhere near ready for it, this will be a big season for his development but for what it's worth I don't think he'll be ready for starting cb any time soon this season.

Always have rated Bolasie, if hes anything like he was prior to his injury he will be the best player in this division but even if he's only half the player he was its still gonna be a good signing for us!

Wagner plays some proper defensive football, the year they were promoted they were the one of the lowest scorers in the top half including not scoring once in any play off game. Last season they was the lowest scorers in the prem. I rate the guy as a manager, can't deny he's good and I'd take him over Bruce but if people expected him to come and we play this free flowing football then forget it, we'd win 1 0 more times than we did with Bruce.

Just finished work so not seen how we played but as far as I'm concerned that's 2 points dropped, a terrible result and against 10 men for the majority of the game. Whilst I don't expect to be challenging for the top 2 this season and am happy to be on 7 points I think we could have easily been on 0 points and knocked out of the cup which is what worries me.

The way Jack is on the ball I don't think there is many who could replicate that, especially the way he glides past people but I have to say on a whole dele alli is way ahead of grealish in pretty much every attribute.

Now this is something new ive not seen Bruce criticised for before. The reason is out of all those teams you've suggested that don't really change their style of play is because they are by far the best teams in their divisions, they don't need to change as they should win most weeks regardless. Our division is a lot more competitive. If you also look at when these teams meet in the champions league, when one side doesn't change systems the results can be chaotic. Roma had a chance of a final, didn't change the back 3 high press got thumped off Liverpool, psg 4 up at barca set up as normal lost 6 1, you could even say wolves come to villa Park without changing any of the system and got a hammering. Sometimes you just need to set up differently in order to win a game.

Its probably more to do with the broken ankle he suffered than needing a manager to "wake him up" Some of the stuff Bruce gets criticised for is more than understandable but stuff like blaming him for kodjias form just makes me laugh.
