  1. I got odds of 16/5 with Paddy Power for a Villa win. I only put a fiver on as I'm far too cautious for a large scale bet but a win is a win!
  2. We could be 5-0 up and most Villa fans would find something to bitch about. Retain composure and think positively. All will come good.
  3. II'm backing us to show Bournemouth how much of a step up in class the Premier League is. 3-0 Villa.
  4. He's reminds me of Denilson who used to play for Arsenal. Half decent passer of the ball without offering anything else at all.
  5. Shawcross is a terrible defender. Give me a Ron Vlaar on crutches any day.
  6. I don't know if this has already been mentioned but I suspect the song "Andy Lochhead in the air" will be adapted to suit Rudy Gestede.
  7. Inside the mind of Nathan Baker: *See's ball* "KILL!!!!"
  8. It would make me laugh to see his Man City career plagued with nothing but irritating recurring minor injuries.
  9. Charlie Austin is a poor man's Darren Bent. We don't need to be driving down these roads again.
  10. F*ck the money, get players! Good players aswell, not overrated Charlie Austin type players.
  11. I haven't seen the kid play but signing a highly rated talent in a position we really needed to strengthen is a cause for great optimism. T'riffic stuff Tim, you sl******g.
  12. Oh Fabian, what a plonker you really are.
  13. I'm not saying he is destined to be a guaranteed success, even with his CV. However he is a man who is confident in his own ability and possesses an appetite to play well. He will be playing under a manager who believes in him and hopefully if we, as supporters can encourage him from the stands in a positive fashion, we can afford to look optimistically about his time with the club. Based on all these factors, I have little reason to doubt he will prove to be an improvement on the current playing staff.
  14. We've signed a former Manchester City captain, winner of every English domestic trophy and all-round defensive powerhouse in Micah Richards on a Bosman with the best years of his career ahead of him. I think a certain section of Villa fans have become so accustomed to seeing poor defenders over the last few years that they don't know what a good defensive signing is anymore.
  15. Thanks for the goal against Liverpool in the FA Cup. Can't really recall you doing much more than that for us.
  16. Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush is comfortably the undisputed worst tune of all-time, for me.
  17. "I'm proving that there still is loyalty in football. I've decided to stay here and I'll give nothing less than 100 per cent every game." Don't go back on your word now, Mr Delph!
  18. If I was Grealish, I definitely wouldn't be going anywhere near booze. However, I would be surrounding myself with loads of beautiful women near my private swimming pool.
  19. I can't ever forgive him for allowing Walcott a free run to the ball for the first goal in the cup final. Get rid!
  20. Someone needs to tell these journalists to relax, there's no way Vardy is going for £15m. I could play for Villa in the same style Vardy plays for Leicester. I wouldn't cost a transfer fee and I'd sign for £15 a week.
  21. We can't let Gil leave. There's just no way he is a worse number 10 or winger than the competition he is currently up against in this Villa squad.
  22. FFP, out. Sugar Daddies, in! It would be fantastic to turn on Sky Sports News after a good sleep to find Jim White chopsing on about Villa's rich new owners having bids accepted for the world's top players.
  23. Stay with Villa. Help us to a European finish next season and go to the Euro's with England in a midfield three consisting of you, Delph and Westwood. Simple.
  24. This might be a very simplistic way of looking at things but I think we'd be wise to avoid selling up to anyone with historical connections to Chelsea when you consider the financial mess they were in, pre-Abramovich. Tony Adams would be useful to us if he could somehow return to his standard of football and fitness under Wenger in 1998. Other than that, maybe as a defence coach. Just as long as he doesn't get too big for his boots.
  25. Needs to be a little bit more selfish in certain situations and go for goal himself but I'm definitely not complaining about his level of contribution at the moment.
