  1. Other than a few more passes there isnt a great deal in it. They are both defensive teams set up to try not to concede. Average Posession : Sheff 44.9 - Newc 39.8 Shots per game : Sheff 10.2 - Newc 9.8 Shots on target per game : Sheff 3.3 - Newc 3.2 Passes per game : Sheff 396.8 - Newc 320.8 Key passes per game : Sheff 7.6 - Newc 7.3 Pass completion % Sheff 74.2 - Newc 74.1 Assists per game : Sheff 0.6 - Newc 0.6 Disposessed per game : Sheff 8.1 - Newc 7.6 Unsuccessful touches per game : Sheff 14.6 - Newc 16.3 Goals Per game : Sheff 1.07 - Newc 0.89 Faied to Score : Sheff 7 - Newc 10 Tackles per game : Sheff 16.9 - Newc 16.1 Interceptions per game : Sheff 11.4 - Newc 11.2 Clearances per game : Sheff 23.6 - Newc 27.1 Fouls per game : Sheff 10.9 - Newc 9.3
  2. yup, most are $80-$100 & if you throw in things like UFC & WWE that many boxing fans will also have an interest in that each have their own PPV shows every month it can soon get to be very expensive Although the WWE now have their own $10/month subscription service which is far better value than $50+ per month for invdividual shows. Strangely rather than going down this route with their own UFC fight pass subscription service UFC have decided to up their prices to $65+ for every PPV from this year
  3. I am not ok with this is entertaining enough, if you like stuff like the end of the f***ing world with some super powers thrown in it is worth a look. Only about 2 1/2 hours long for all episodes combined too so more like a movie really
  4. If you haven't already tried Ninja Gaiden II & have an X give it a go, It looks fantastic & is super smooth all the way through. The 360/ps3 were never really powerful enough to do it justice and they could barely cope with a couple of the bigger fight scenes in the game often getting down to single figure frame rates but the free X enhanced upgrade is excellent. Looks & runs better than plenty of games that have actually had full on paid hd remaster releases
  5. klits vs fury did 545,000 in the uk but over a million watched it live in the states (peaked at 1.7 mil) on HBO despite being on at lunchtime/early evening and being on at the same time as the Alabama v Auburn iron bowl football game. It was also 2015, UK PPV numbers were generally lower then anyway due to a complete lack of availability unless you actually had sky/virgin. Now you can get it on a phone/tablet/laptop etc numbers for all PPV are getting much higher. It is only really over the past few years that Joshua has got people used to stumping up £20+ every fight as a regular occurance to the point where it is now seen as pretty much normal. Fury is an awful lot more popular now than 5 years ago and very few even gave him a chance against Wlad so not sure how many already existing sky/vigin customers (about 13.5 million at the time) would have stumped up the £17 to watch it, As a quick comparison Joshua Whyte which took place 3 weeks later only did 420,000 despite sky absolutely hyping the shit out of it as some sort of london gangsta deathmatch
  6. I think this is a big part of it, everyone makes mistakes but playing in a better team he would be faced with maybe 10 incidents per game where he is actualy involved in doing something to prevent a shot/chance. At present teams are managing over 20 shots every single game against us and he is probaby involved in 20-30 incidents per game that can result in a shot/goal. If he gets caught out 1 in every 20 chances he would maybe make a mistake every 2/3/4 games in a better team but 1 in 20 for us is pretty much every week
  7. Still one of my faves now, The song & Hope Sandoval
  8. For all the talk of sheffield utd doing well they are basically Newcastle playing "Bruceball". First & foremost they set up not to concede goals and they have done this very well indeed. They have only conceded 25 (only liverpool have conceded fewer) compared to our 52. They do not overwhelm teams with passing & posession, They are not outscoring teams at a massive rate (they have only scored 29, only 5 teams have scored fewer) many of their games they have much less of the ball & fewer shots than the opposition often only having 35-40% and 3 shots on target yet they are still picking up points because they are not conceding. Look at the bruce, newcastle thread it is full of people saying they shouldn't have as many points as they have, it isnt sustainable, it's shit but ask any blades fan if it's shit. We are basically going into every game needing to score 2 or 3 goals to even stand a chance of getting a point, That isn't sustainable... I am fairly sure that if you asked 100 football fans to name even 5 of their players they would struggle I would love a 1-0 win against palace where we only have 39% of the ball & 3 shots & gladly swap some of our better performing games against the bigger boys where we ended up with sod all for a boring draw here & there The daft thing is that one of the few times they have actually come unstuck this season was actually at home against Newcastle where they didn't seem to cope very well playing against their own tactics and lost 2-0 despite Newcastle barely touching the ball (27%) There is a great myth that we are playing this Dean Smith attacking free flowing football, plenty of people saying they would rather be relagated than have Big Sam in charge playing his crap football despite us generally being shit & by far one of the worst teams to watch for the majority of the season. We will get shat on from a great height on Sunday, we are going down and i wouldn't be suprised if we fail to win more than 1 more game for the rest of the season. My glass is well & truly half empty today
  9. If anything it can also show the reverse. Gets booted/injured during a game, Is subbed off (whether this is at his own request or not and usually a sensibe option for anything like a tight hamstring/groin) and is generally fit & ready to go even a few days later. Missing 6 weeks or so in 6 years is better than 90% of players. Looks like he has pretty good recovery compared to most and barely misses any games.
  10. pretty sure the outfit isn't the reason he lost the fight but doubt it did him much good either, especially wrapped tight around his head & it lighting up around his eyes, he looked a bit dazed when they eventually managed to take it off.
  11. They have been on a good run sure but 6 of their 19 points from the last 10 games have come from beating us twice. They had only won 3 games all season (& 2 of those were home to Norwich & Watford) before dicking us 3-1 at VP which seemed to give them a massive boost
  12. Something blew in my eye at lunchtime today, no idea if it was a fly, bit of general dirt etc but it is still sore now & vision is a bit blurry. Wouldn't want to be running around trying to play football nevermind doing anything else. Could easily have just been a glancing blow to the eye which can be very painful for a good while afterwards & irritating/sore for hours, hell there have been multiple UFC fights ended because of an eye poke
  13. They were also one of the worst away teams until they played us a few weeks ago...
  14. Other than mings head we have barely touched the ball. Same as the Bournemouth game they are just doing whatever they want with us just standing around watching them. Absolutely shite.
  15. Would like Fury to win but think he'll get caught tonight and end up on his arse. Just hope there are no issues with cuts ending things. Whatever happens the winner should/needs to fight AJ next
  16. It's Vegas, Main event will start somewhere between 4-5am UK time, Probably closer to 5.
  17. guess we'll never know but 3 is better than 1 i guess and expect some of the under 21/23 would have maybe benefitted from training with people like Hutton/Whelan. Sure they might not be world beaters but they are hard working pros & seemed to be good guys as far as attitude/team spirit went. The 2 of them combined for about half of what we were paying mccormack not to be anywhere near the squad would have seemed like a gamble worth taking
  18. How us & newcastle have managed to spend over 60 million on 2 brazillans and end up with 2 league 1 standard players at best is a mystery. They are both absolutely shite.
  19. I think most of it would have just been some benefit having them in & around the place.. Handy to have a bit of experience & know-how around when you have lots of new players & things are going wrong on the pitch. If we had paid a million quid to keep Hutton & Whelan around for the season (lets face it nobody else was going to offer them 10 grand a week) and only really used them on the training pitch it woud have probably been worth it
  20. & Simeone has never lost a two legged european tie or final against a team that didn't have Ronaldo in it. Someones 0 has got to go, fight...
  21. It won't, being shit in 50% of the games and losing against teams below/around us will be the difference
  22. They had 8 shots on target when they won 3-1 at VP a few weeks ago & we were actually above them in the league before KO...
