  1. They'd rather have less season ticket holders and make more money. Not listened to it but there's a podcast on the subject. All good (from a financial perspective) while things are going well but if things start going wrong it won't look so rosy. That 2k drop in season tickets, they are now aiming at getting £140+ per game for a huge chunk of them. Rather than £7/800 for the season. Then any others that aren't hospitality they are still getting more than for a season ticket.
  2. Although that would depend what they classed as more leg room. It was Villa v Blues a few days after I was having an ACL Op. Wanting to still go, I requested to change seat from back of Lower Holte for the game. I was given about 4 rows from the front of Doug Ellis. Thankfully someone on the aisle switched with me.
  3. Cat A games were generally £67, so it's looking likely it will be £75-80 for an adult. Interesting that they intend to give a sales window to those on the waiting list. Although I imagine most of those who would seriously take up a season ticket will be members anyway, which I presume will still be prioritised ahead of that.
  4. I have plenty of issues with my legs and knees but any game in the North when I can't stand, I suffer really badly during, after and the next day, so wincing at the thought of this
  5. Are the boxes in the North Stand usually sold? Just wondering if its feasible they could be doing another Terrace View type venue using the space of some the boxes. I vaguely remember being in one of them during a VP tour many years ago but can't remember whether the layout would allow anything like that. Not sure how the revenue from that would compare to several boxes sold for a season or even for individual Champions league games etc though. That benefit would then give a bit more space on the concourse in either or both upper & lower and a better experience all round, as It can be horrible there at half time. Trying to look at positives but I can see it being harder to get tickets next season for a non season ticket holder or at least more expensive.
  6. I'd love to have a glimpse into 2029. If Emery is still with us then, we've likely had some success on the way or at the very least maintained a similar competitiveness to this season. 7 years is a very long time for a football manager in the Premier league, certainly Villa. Whether that's because they've been sacked or gone on to what they think is a better opportunity. I honestly think if are are maintaining and progressing then he won't be swayed to go elsewhere. So that leaves it as either we regress and he gets sacked or the project stalls and we don't meet his ambition. Let's hope he's still here and the good times are coming.
  7. Yes, it does seem like a football club wide issue. Obviously I don't look at other clubs merchandise but rarely see someone wearing something and think wow I wish Villa did something like that. Which might say something about clubs not thinking there is a big enough market for it but I can't see why not? I have no idea with there is any contractual issues with kit suppliers on items that can or cannot be sold, but seems doubtful as you can get Tops, t shirts and polos, they're just not very good on the whole.
  8. That's one thing Villa could do so much better at. A lot of the non kit supplier clothing could be so much better. It often just looks a bit cheap and tacky, without being particularly cheap.
  9. Only just realised that I made the same mistake on Twitter. The way his time at Villa went. I could have sworn it was that season.
  10. Not feeling massively confident today but qualification for Champions league would make for a great evening. The added bonus for a win is, i'm taking my step daughter and hoping she has the chance to send a winning scoreboard selfie to her Liverpool supporting Dad from Wiltshire If we don't it will just be a picture to show that she's seen Liverpool more times than him.
  11. Its showing sold out now. *Well the sold out seems to have gone but is coming up with this message. Something went wrong: to buy this hospitality package please call our office. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Ticket website working well again.
  12. Have you tried from this link? TERRACE VIEW I just tried my brothers reference while i was logged in and it would let me buy one for him. He's not a member but has game history, but don't think that is a European game as when he went it wasn't on his reference.
  13. I almost enjoyed the passiveness of the first half, it was pretty controlled and felt we were almost using it as a training excersise for potential pressure in the semi final games. That changed second half, we could have done with more intensity from second half kick off just to get in that zone again. Whether that was Chelsea or our own fault we never got that back.
  14. They defintely cocked up not putting an extra category in. Maybe members who have been to 3+ games first if not more. I'm sure they would have known that it was likely to sell out on the category it did, so time to do it wouldn't have been an issue. Then members with 1 game going on sale today. On the plus side from a financial perspective hopefully they've got some good numbers with extra memberships. Albeit small change in overall revenue terms. Mine expired in October but renewed after I couldn't get Ajax tickets and had to go in Terrace view.
