  1. What about Antonio Benito? Is he joining? If not, maybe we should approach Alberto Cordon.
  2. In relation to this, the losses are last years so don't include the documentary revenue, live streaming matches revenue, cup run income. The losses also include work done on the stadium which was in a poor state when they came in. There's been lots of things done to bring it back to life. Next year's accounts will include the cost of buying the ground back again from the University, so could feasibly make a loss again but as time goes on, the big one off costs will start to reduce. A 5000 seater stand is going behind the goal, which again will be another big loss on the accounts but it will mean 15,000 sell-outs long term. Huge result today. Get the feck in there!
  3. You might be right. The other half loves Dougie and is convinced he's gay because he's so beautiful, although she drew the line when I said his orignal bleached corn-rows were awesome. Just the tips for her. We are a handsome bunch though. I used to play Football Manager/Championship Manager and base my signings on who looked cool. I always tried to get Sebastian Frey for Villa (in his slimmer days). Looks before ability. No wonder I used to get sacked every season.
  4. He's what I thought we were going to be getting with Digne. Nothing against Digne but he looks the better player and at a nicer price. He's also more handsome.

There's so little stress in checking the line-ups for games these days. Even if I think one player should be playing over another. These days you know that the players are drilled and coached to challenge regardless of line-up. The guy is next level, the fact he's so humble and enthusiastic about this job is wonderful to see. Even the worst clubs now have really good/great players. Having a manager who can outsmart/coach others is huge and we have someone who thrives on it. We're so lucky to have him but at the same time, he's somewhat lucky to have so much potential ready to catapult. We're a perfect match.
  6. No offence to County fans but ****'em. As a Wrexham lad, a bit of good fortune is long overdue for the club and town/city. Notts County are paying good money themselves and they're not just up there for no reason. They've been throwing cash themselves, it's just not a glamour headline story. When the likes of Fleetwood Town, Crawley Town, Forest Green, Salford etc were throwing cash about to gain promotion whilst Wrexham were run by the fans and by whatever income they made then I'm not going to feel bad or guilty for some ridiculous good fortune. Of course from the outside it's annoying and rammed down people's throats. Some of the fans are annoying as feck but in the main, most are grateful for what is happening. Excitement is not the same as gloating. I feel the same about the Villa owners as I do about Wrexham's. So chuffed that my clubs finally have good owners after near decades of shite. Rob and Ryan are setting up the club to use money generated rather than lump a load of debt on the club. Doing it right, yet the claws come out for them. Notts County are roughly in debt to the tune of £14m should the owner pull the plug, there isn't the sustainable income to cover that. Aside from the last 15 years, Wrexham have been a Football League side and I don't get the hate. The same fans will be wanting the Villa owners to be flexing their financial muscle in the summer.
  7. Means nothing if he didn't make it into Garth Crooks' 3-0-7 formation though.
  8. Just catching up with the press conference, everybody is available apart from Jed Steer, Diego Carlos and Bertrand. Diego and Bertrand are close to full training as far as I understand it but not yet ready for action.
  9. I know he's getting on but I wish we got Berardi when we were first linked, all them moons ago.
  10. I remember going to watch Wrexham away there in the FA Cup and it was shocking how quick people were served. Not only that but they put on beer from the area of the away club tii which was a lovely touch. They were close to going bust not that long ago. Their rise has been great and they aren't looking like stopping. Good on them. This is why the Premier League is the best, the standard is just ridiculous.
  11. He's an ugly **** but the lad can play. Wilson and Isaak will bag a good few more now.
  12. Gordon is terrifying for defenders, a player who runs with great pace with the ball, can go inside or out. It's not all about stats. If Clavert-Lewin wasn't crocked or they had another finisher, his stats would look better. He's got years of development too, this is a great signing for Newcastle. Hopefully he goes more into a Dwight McNeil but I don't see it.
  13. Gutted, still proud of the lads though. I know Wrexham have out spent the division but for years the likes of Fleetwood, Forest Green, Salford etc did the same whilst Wrexham were run by fan ownership. It's about time the club had some good luck. We've been signing players from League 1/2 in the main, so still a good effort to go toe to toe with a strong Sheffield United. Even more so after losing 2 of the 3 CB's after 7 mins. People can mock the Hollywood owners but they're genuine and give a shit. Money spent is mainly generated from sponsorship that they've helped bring in, plus sell-outs every game. After a decade of shit with Villa and Wrexham it's nice to have great owners at both clubs I support.
  14. As a non-smoker, I just wanted to post on page 420. Right on maaaaaannnn.
  15. My Mrs will be happy if he leaves. She's sick to death of me whinging about him being stuck on the bench and fawning over him. Now and then I'll show her the knob picture to hush her.
  16. Villa are severely lacking in pace, so this signing is very exciting to me. He's going to help drive the play forward far more quickly and it looks like his speed/dribbling/movement will help finally create a bit of space for the likes of Coutinho/Buendia to work in. With links to the likes of Deulofeu, it's clear Emery has identified pace as a big issue at the club, and rightly so. A couple of signings could quickly transform this side and help bring out some better form from players already at the club.

Looked really under the weather tonight. Hope he's not too sick. He looked shattered and full of the good old winter bug.
