My worry is that this recent football explosion in China is just a fad that will pass in a few years when the president decides he wants his people to be the best at something else. Then, all these investors will look to move on and curry favour in some new way.

I reckon so, scored on his debut but didn't really contribute much else for them. If we were to offer what they paid or a little less i think it'd be very good signing. Plus he's still only 29, plenty of years left in him so long as he's motivated.
