It may be the case at set pieces that he is told to mark space/fresh air, which I personally don't favor, but if he is being told to mark fresh air in open play then that would just be madness. Overall today I thought Baker did okay. The lad is as brave as a lion and never gives less than 100%. Never seen anyone suggest zonal marking is being used in open play before, that is a new one. Lambert shouldn't be surprising anybody 3 years in pal.

Love this! Seriously love Brad, Aly did totally shit himself when he whacked him on the head. It's great having a dependable, and passionate keeper, the past few seasons have been rough for him and our defence has been leaky, but not because of Brad. Hopefully this year we can give him a back four to help him out, we have so far. He says, Aly you fcukin showed them w&*kers

He's not in the same boat as Sanchez though as he proved in the first few games last season that he was ready. Sanchez is still yet to prove that - in a Villa shirt at least. Im only interested about now and whats in front of us.

IMO if he is in the same boat as Sanchez and simply "just not ready" then they should not be starting. With Chelsea and Man City round the corner heavy defeats are a strong possibility and will only contribute further towards any confidence issues.
