It was more the way he fell. Has to be stronger than that. Im ok with him in goal until January and then as a number 2. Signing Heaton excites me.

Come on mate. Yes he got done a couple of times but generally he was fine. He does struggle with one and one situations though.

I think he is growing in to a deeper role. He has a great range of passing so suits him to pick up the ball deep and get his head up. Also he is a quite a busy player, puts a shift in. He can be frustrating at times with sloppiness but I think we look better with him in the team than without.

He’s hold up play and movement is superb. If he can become a little more ruthless in front of goal he can be the all round striker. Edit: I think you only really appriecate how much a player like Tammy does for the team when he is not playing. The Norwich second half is evidence of this. Crucial he stays fit.

I was very critical of Hutton the season we got relegated because I remember instances where he would just stroll back. But thinking back It’s hard to judge any of players we had that year such was the poisonous atmosphere at the club. The last 2 years I think he has played the best football he has since his Rangers days and this is purely down to his hard work to keep himself n peak condition as he gets older. Hats off to him. True professional.

Home advantage is big for us and Stoke are just shit.

So out of a run of 7 tought games and a potential 21 points we already have 6. Another 9 points out of the next 5 games would be a great return and keep us in the mix. I fancy us to beat forest, stoke and Leeds.

It is and I should have probably added that I’d rather see us attempting to play a certain way and making mistakes while learning than just constantly going route one. I do think we could see a very different back five though next season regardless of which league we are in.

I think this may continue until certain players that aren’t comfortable on the ball under pressure are replaced.

Agree. Man to man or Zonal it relys on every defender doing their job. Anyway their corner that led to the goal was because of Chesters error. Corner never should have happened.

Hippo I wouldn’t read too much in to that first 30 minutes because of the occasion. We are much better than that and the rest of the game showed this. That first 30 minutes was a mental thing. The blues handled the occasion so much better than us until we scored. I was fearing the worse at 0-1. I expect much better v forest.

It’s ok to move it around at the back until there’s space opened up for one player to drive forward. Axel did it really well. Chester really struggled. Not sure if fitness was an issue.

We were poor first half but I think a lot of that was down to nerves. We played with fear and Birmingham smelt blood. Once we scored the players relaxed.

I think the point of it is to get the opposition to push forward opening up space in the middle. But it needs players to be comfortable on the ball. Chester looks really uncomfortable when playing this way.

Agree. Much improved. He was nervy first half as were most of the team. I don’t think he is good enough but he will have to do until January. Im less worried about him now as I was a few games ago.

Wow what a game. We were poor first half. Very nervy. Poor keeping/defending and should have been 2-0. Then Kodija who I thought was outstanding drags us back in to. Two superb balls feom Adomah. Second half we bossed them. What a goal by Hutton. Unbelievable. I’m loving the fact we look so much fitter and stronger in second halfs! Smith is now on 2 points a game. Long may it continue.
