  1. I suspect the release clause negotiated with jack for his new contract would be a realistic one of his value. Dont beleive the reports of 60 million.
  2. I think we’d sell him for 25-30m if we didn’t go up. Can’t keep him in the league yet another season and we’d also probably need the money.

  4. 82 could be very close to top 2 this season.
  5. Bloody hell lads. A few good performances in the Championship and he could be as good as David Silva? No wonder people are disappointed when he has an average game. Jack is quality and can be a good Premier League player. But if he was ever going be on David Silva’s level Id think we’d know about it by now.
  6. Where did you get 60 million from? If we don’t go up this season Jack Grealish is gone.
  7. I agree to an extent. But nearly every club out there is a selling club if the price is right.
  8. It is. So imagine the pain a person must be going through to even attempt it. Its very sad news.
  9. I think you could say that about a lot of our players. Even some of those out on loan. The question is. How many players somewhere in between the two extreme will be good enough for promotion? I don’t mind Hutton at RB but would prefer Elmo to play there.
  10. Win every game from now and until the end of the season and we finish on 135. That must be enough for a promotion. On a serious note. Anyone know the record for championship points?
  11. Sneaky fiver at 20-1. Stranger things have happened...
  12. Ha true. I know a lot of fans love to see them lose but I personally couldn’t care less what they are doing. They are too insignificant to care about. We must beat them to get back in the promotion race. They must beat us because that’s all that matters to them.

  14. I appreciate that but every player will make mistakes so it’s wrong to single out his error against Birmingham after he apparently played so well in the previous 10 games. Im not saying he is a good defender. But I think he is adequate for this league.
  15. Gary Neville you mean? I think there’s an element of arrogance. Just because they were big players they think they can walk straight in to positions at big clubs that’s are struggling and turn it around. Someone like Smith has had to prove himself As a manager he has worked hard to get where he is today. By the way it’s only Tuesday and I feel down knowing we have to wait another 12 days before the next game. I hate international weeks.
  16. Baker aside we let these players go because they weren’t good enough even though we were shit. Have we fallen that far that we’d want them back!
  17. get to 2 points a game under Smith and we’d finish on 82 points. Could be enough for automatic promotion this year.
  18. I think we’ll need one regardless of whether Nyland improves or not. We’ve only really got one keeper at the club. I wouldn’t even count Bunn and the other guy seems like it was just a sweetener for Mendes.
  19. Tbf Only one or two fans on here actually think he’s a good defender. I don’t think you can call that Salifou Syndrome as salifou wasn’t even really a player. I personally think Elphicks an adequate defender. Who knows. He might even gain some confidence and thrive under Smith. Would rather we sign someone then call him back though. He seems happy at Hull and has no future here. We need players that want to be here.
  20. But at least he’s a defender. Our Axel nearly gifted 2 goals on Saturday so mistakes do happen. We’ll probably release him in the summer so I think bringing him back in January will be a last resort anyway.
  21. Nothing wrong with that at all. Also wouldn’t want a player that doesn’t track back for 90 minutes either. I would however like to see a top Premier league player (if fully fit) starting games for us so the damage to the opponent can be done in the first half.
  22. I know I’m getting way ahead of myself but I just watched city united game and the way city pressed, kept the ball and kept winning the second ball back reminding me of our second half yesterday. (Obviously at a much lower level). Its such a joy to watch.
