  1. Can you not see you might be overreacting slightly? Gil has been here since january, and probably hasnt been played since sherwood came in because he doesnt think hes the type of player for a relegation fight. It isnt like the guy has been dropped from the scene completely! And to say Sherwood is a little too stubborn at times, when he has only been here for a handful of games is unbeliavable. We've just had successive seasons of stubborn scotsmen, that doesnt mean Sherwood will take after them! Can we not just give sherwood a little bit of faith and consider that he might actually have explained to Gil why he isnt playing, and that he has solid reasoning behind it?
  2. Is it beyond the realms of possibility that sherwood has sat down with Gil and explained the reason he isn't playing at the moment (not the player for a relegation fight) and that Gil understands. And that cole is an experienced player. And sherwood openly said bringing the young kid on was a message to all of the youth players that opportunity is there. I think a lot of fans are seeing what they want to believe because we are so used to negativity after the last fool who managed us.
  3. This couldn't be going any worse. However, sherwoods team talk should be the easiest hell ever have to give! Players will know not to take QPR lightly, and how much the bottom three are breathing down our necks!
  4. The mauling of Matthew upson, brilliant. Upson, takes it up the... Went off injured in the end if I remember correctly. Also, not exactly for the chant but for the sheer amount of people joining in, a couple of seasons ago when Benteke was sent off and terry wound us all up and went down injured, the whole ground minus Chelsea fans were singing the likes of let him die, you know what you are, what a ******. Never heard a ground so abusive to one person, even Steve Bruce!
  5. Lambert did a pretty good job of turning our whole squad into Championship players! And by the sounds of the interview managed to alienate half the squad while doing so. As much as I didn't like lambert, did bent really have to do this interview?
  6. It seems that they've found a torn up sick note for the day of the crash. Is there no way a doctor can inform employers of mental health issues if the person is in a position like his? Surely it could have prevented this? Either way, he seems to have been intent on taking all of those people with him.
  7. This might be a stupid question, but when it says ST holders who've been to 1+ fa cup games this season, does that mean over one, or just one game? I've been to the quarter but none before that, so can I get my ticket on Monday or do I have to wait till it goes to general ST holders?
  8. And therein lies the problem with booing... Yep, we should've run onto the pitch to tell the ref how bad he was instead.
  9. What amazed me is that when they conceded yesterday not one player appealed. That's a sign of a team who have truly given up. I can't see them fighting back, whereas burnley look like have the spirit to fight.
  10. I'd much rather this performance than the dross we had served up week in week out before. We barely created, never mind good finishing. We will win more games playing like we did today than pre-sherwood, guaranteed!
  11. Struck me as a very complacent performance in all honesty. We just seemed like we thought we'd get a result without really having to match Swansea. Thought we pressed them very well, and Delph, Clark and okore were very good. A draw would have been a very fair result, but the signs are still much more positive than they were a month ago, and I'll take that!
  12. I always thought the toast rack was used so that there was more room for bacon. There really is nothing better than a full English breakfast!
  13. It's just like Monday night when the Bradford fans were late getting to the match and it didn't result in the match kicking off later so the majority missed kick off. They don't care about the fans, just tv and the big clubs. It's a shame because I'm certain we, Blackburn and reading care a lot more than Liverpool and arsenal fans about winning the trophy!
  14. 'Shes 15 my lord' 'She said no my lord' And a quiet rendition of the manure fans' 'Adam Johnson, paedophile...' which didn't quite take off. I can only imagine that will get worse now that hes playing. Amazing that their moral stance has suddenly changed now relegation is likely.
  15. I'm not sure if it was a limited edition thing, but a couple of months ago I found funny feet in asda. It was magnificent!
  16. Most bradford fans stuck in traffic and they haven't put the game back till 8 to give them a chance. Money talks! Can see this going to extra time.
  17. Went to the game today and just stood there wondering what this guy has done to get them playing like that! We were brilliant, it was a training game in the second half! He hasn't put a foot wrong!
  18. Just had a browse on a sunderland forum and theyre all going wild because they've sold 41000 tickets so far. Read a bit further and it turns out they've been selling £10 tickets and giving thousands away to schools, unis and businesses for free. And then they slag us off for only selling 2000 tickets...which was our full application. Clever lot they are!
  19. Will they sell us tickets before the replays? No reason to make us rush over 10 dats when we know we're through
  20. I genuinely think blackburn will beat liverpool in the replay! And we all know how the last semifinal we played against Blackburn went!
  21. Spot on. As you make reference to, he actually used to split opinion quite considerably and I have to say that I don't remember him ever being described as a 'legend' until he got leukemia. There has been a lot of revisionism since. Obviously though, he is a top bloke and the fan response to his illness remains a source of great pride for the club. He has a difficult first season when O'Neill mostly played him out of position. After that, he was the mainstay of the side that finished 6th 3 times running, and who allowed the likes of Young, Downing and Milner to flourish. If not quite a legend in playing terms, then certainly one of the very best central midfielders we've had in recent times. In any case, great call from Sherwood, who has been an absolute breath of fresh air after the dismal and moribund charlatan that was Paul Lambert. I'm not so sure petrov would want to lead the team out. Not that he wouldn't want the experience, but I can imagine him saying Delph deserves the honour. No reason he can't be involved, but he doesn't seem one to love the spotlight. I'd be surprised if they said that's what they want to do if they hadn't checked with him first. As Lexicon says below, he converted half of the debt into share capital. Te impression I got from reading a quote somewhere was sherwood was asked if he'd considered it, and he said it sounded a good idea. I don't think sherwood actually brought it up himself, or had even really thought about it.
  22. Booked up for a week in Los cristianos yesterday in June and thinking of a city break in Rome in July. Anyone ever been?

  24. Guys at work having a go, suggesting we'll be kicked out the cup and deservedly so. They dont seem to have an answer to 'So you think the baggies fans who caused criminal damage in the ground and concourse, and assaulted our fans deserve to see their team in the semi final more than a group of fans who were reacting to pure excitement and stepped on some grass? Unbelievable the overreaction this has caused, and I think the statement from West Brom was completely classless. Basically, 'We acknowledge our fans were bad and ''allegedly'' threw seats, but we utterly condemn people running on a pitch...Even though our fans did that for finishing 17th' The more i read about this, the more angry I get at how villa fans are being portrayed!
  25. Apparently blues and baggies away on the Saturday of the semi weekend...looks like it'll be us on the Sunday then
