  1. Benteke yet again not making a run into the area, his positioning is shocking at times!
  2. What has zog done in this half? I wasn't too impressed first half tbh. Created nothing. Was the right change for me
  3. I don't think Delph has much reason to argue it tbh, it was reckless and if he caught him at a different angle he could've done some real damage. Stupid foul to make!
  4. Thought it was dangerous as soon as he did it. What an absolute idiot! Let's just hope we get the same reaction as when gabby went!
  5. I know it didn't come to anything but it's so good to see us hit a ball into the box first time. Need to do it much more
  6. 'Look at the Wickes stand, listen to the Wickes stand' Just doesn't have the same ring to it.
  7. I'm sure lambert didn't think he was ready, and I wasn't one who was pushing and wondering why he wasn't back. But do you really think he'd have dropped vlaar, baker or senderos for okore if they were all fit to give him a chance?
  8. In fairness I'm pretty sure lambert is only playing him because we have no other options. Doubt we'd have seen him if vlaar, senderos and baker weren't injured.
  9. 'Buy loaf of bread. Ring roy to ask if Ireland need a kit man.'
  10. It's like watching the match engine on FM games, you know the goal is coming, but you cannot do a thing about it other than scream at the computer. I doubt even on FM you could go 9 games without winning. Certainly not without getting the sack.
  11. Minutes to go. Dyche on his feet screaming instruction, lambert taking a sip of his lucozade. Sums it up, it really does.
  12. Dyche on his feet screaming instruction, lambert taking a sip of his lucozade. Sums it up really.
  13. Be tempted to put Richardson or bacuna on for Sanchez here, need to calm things down
  14. Cleverly talking himself into a booking there. So glad he's finally given cole a chance!
  15. Would people take 4-6 million in jan if we reinvested it straight away in a lower league player like batth? I think it would be good business. He's probably going to be injured for the majority (so would fit in perfectly at united) and those few months at the end of the season would give whoever we got in a chance to settle and hopefully get used to the premier league without being immediately relegated from it. Looking to the future I'd much rather we got some money, even if it's only a few million, and reinvest it in someone who can learn from senderos. I know lower league players are an issue when it comes to lambert choosing them, but the alternative is losing a cb for nothing at the end of the season with no replacement lined up/settled in.
  16. Has to be mulensteen for me, a proper coach who can organise the team. We look devoid of any form of organisation at times, and his experience would be key. Much prefer him to Steve Clarke.
  17. Was only ever a short term measure, but what is important now is getting someone in who will give us stability and not draw the limelight. I think it's less about juggling two roles and more about not having a clue what to do to stop our poor form.
  18. Westwood has been brilliant. But their movement is lovely to watch, I forgot players were allowed to move off the ball.
  19. Surprisingly/stupidly confident about this. We have to do something eventually, and i think they have to have a bad result eventually. Although i could just be telling myself this because I'm going down and have to be up at half 4 tomorrow morning. Going for 2-1 villa, totally undeserved, absolute fluke, but we'll take it anyway.
  20. Ive waited for a while to post about this because i wanted to make sure my anger wasnt an overreaction. But, over a week later and I still cant believe the state of our club off the pitch. My little brother has recently been admitted to hospital and will be there for several months at the very least. He's 12 years old, and absolutely obsessed with everything villa related, and for some reason still sees a glimmer of hope in our club. As a family we have had a season ticket for the last 10 years and buy every new home and away shirt like a lot of other fans. As soon as he was admitted to his permanent room we went straight to the villa shop and spent around £100 on villa bedding, posters, dressing gown, slippers. you name it, we bought it. All to make him feel like he has some sense of home and the things he enjoys around him at a very difficult time. Now I dont expect that spending this amount of money means that the club owe us anything, not at all! But, we contacted the club to explain the situation and enquire how we could go about getting his shirt signed. Quite frankly, I was disgusted with the response we received. The woman on the phone very bluntly told us that if we wanted the players to sign a shirt we would have to buy a new one from the shop and take it to the main reception where they would send it off and return it to us. We explained that we had bought the new home and away tops just weeks ago, but the reply was simply 'You'll have to buy a new top if you want it signed, dont you realise how many of these requests we get?'. Even when we asked whether we could buy a get better soon card for the players to sign we were we'd be charged for the signatures. As I said, we dont expect special treatment for the investment we have made into the club. We invest into the club because we support them no matter what. Which makes it even more shocking that the club can't offer a single gesture of support back the other way. To expect us to pay an extra £50, just so that a group of players who earn thousands of pounds a week can put their signatures on a top is disgusting. A fair few years ago we came across the team at the airport and got speaking to one of the clubs staff. After a short conversation they took our address and told us theyd send us some stuff. Not expecting anything to come from it we arrived home to find a gift pack full of small gifts. How has our club gone from one extreme to another? I understand the state of the club, the state of football as a whole, but I find it impossible to understand how our club can be more interested in gaining an extra £50 in its pocket than putting a smile on the face of a 12 year old who is the future of our support. We used to be a family club, interested in our fans and providing an experience for them. Sadly, that is no longer the case, both on and off the pitch.
