  1. l remember prince William being asked , why Aston Villa ? He had been guest of honour at the last Wembley final , before the renovation , and although it being , in my opinion , one of the worst finals in history , the prince was overwhelmed at the way the Villa fans sang their hearts out throughout the whole game , and from that day , swore his allegiance . For me that illustrates what a great club we are , and I honestly don't think there is a more infectious team in the country .
  2. Although it didn't go down well with the critics I happened to enjoy the Counselor , thought Brad Pitt stole the show , without even trying to . Wolf of Wall street was achingly funny ,but then you realise it's a true story , and tbh , it pays only lip - service to the victims , who must of been , sadly , ruined for the rest of their live. I have to say though , that imo Jonah Hills' performance was oscar worthy. Apparently he was so eager to work with Scorsese , that he took just forty thousand dollars for the part , bless him . Does anyone recommend 12 yrs a slave , it's on my on demand for 2 . 99 ? How come I don't have a pound sign on my pad keyboard ?
  3. Sometimes critlsized just for the sake of it .
  4. Anyone seen the Rossevelt'documentries ? It's made by the same guy who made the American civil war series . I found it riveting viewing . You can find them on you tube .
  5. Why would he want to come to Villa ? He would never get a game .
  6. This could well be the proverbial straw .
  7. I think you"ll find Tamworth i does not lie within the borders of Birmingham , however it's not a bad brummie accent . Williams was the year below me at my high school in Tamworth. Also, Tamworth has 'B' postcodes so in that sense at least is part of Birmingham. your reaching a bit there my friend .
  8. Is that question directed at me ? If so elaborate .
  9. **** paedophiles : what an awful breed of mankind
  10. l Not sure about that one.Dylan gave the Schmeatles Pot for the first time, their music and outlook completely changed almost overnight. Lyrically they became more introspective and they jumped on the psychedelic bandwagon as they experimented with more drugs. Wouldn't have happened without Dylan Maybe Dylan wouldn't have happened without Guthrie . Tbh did not really equate pot with psychedelia .
  11. Seeing a smile on the face of my five yr old daughter
  12. When people say they want to be "good" , what they really mean is they want an easier time of it .

  14. Thoght Wales looked really dangerous on the break at times , also they was'nt afraid to go looking for the ball , which considering the opposition , I thought was quite brave , not to mention the fact I've got the draw in my accumalator . Is Ashley Williams a brummie ?
  15. This reminded me . I was in the reception of Winson Green when Lee Hughes came in , and trust me , he derserved seven years just for the whistle he was wearing . Yes , white socks too .
  16. Having myself served many years incarcerated , I feel this is a subject I'm somewhat qualified to comment on . Please do not get this twisted . My contempt for sex offenders is immense , and whilst in prison I treated them in the main as lepers , but saying that , just because a person is found guilty by a jury it does'nt always mean he his genuinely guilty . As some will know the justice system is littered with miscarriages of justice , in fact , I have someone very close to me , who at this moment is residing in jail awaiting trial for a crime she was'nt even four miles near , trust me . Rape is a very delicate subject , and my heart goes out to anyone who has been through such an horrific ordeal , however , I have met , and known individuals who have been wrongly convicted of the kind of rape that Ched Evans was convicted of , and believe me it's a brush you never want to be tarred with . One friend of mine , who it happened to suffered a mental breakdown in prison , and everyone believed he was innocent , but he just could'nt handle the tag of being a covicted rapist . As I said I'm no apologist, I'm only sorry I could'nt have put my point across more eloquently , and please forgive my grammar .
  17. Nigel Spink thinks we should cut the manager some slack . What makes him think we have'nt ?
  18. From what I've seen Lambert is hoping for draws! Goaless draws I presume .
  19. Good old Roy ; keeping it " gangster " . Ya gotta luv him .
  20. 1. Lambert has been here for two years, not four. 2. Gardner, Okore and N'Zogbia have missed at least a year each with serious injury, Grealish rightfully was out on loan for 1 year for experience, 3. The manager needs to grow a pair, yeah let's field 2 players with cruciate injuries and one with a ruptured achilles. So N'zogbia has been playing with a ruptured achilles ? Or did I miss the past tense ? My apologies , obviously Lambert can't put out injured players , but I thought the injuries had cleared up . Sorry about the four years mistake , but tbh the two years of utter despair have made it seem like a **** lifetime . That's me done now , anything else would be superfluous . N'Zogbia was playing before the ruptured achilles and after, so what is your point exactly? The point is " Charlie don"t serf " . ( smile if thats possible ) .

  22. When as Gardener under Lambert had a run of games ? Same goes for Okore , Grealish , and to an extent Nzogbia . So presuamably ,you say , Lambert over the four years he's been there , observing Gardener he's come to the conclusion that his performances are not of the level to warrant a first team place , or for that matter a place on the bench , save for the odd occasion . And yet , decides to reward him with a new contract . Go figure . What this manager needs to do is grow a pair .
