Been watching a fair bit of La Liga recently and found it quite enjoyable. Every coach and player seem to be jumping ship to the Premier League the standard of the league has really declined don’t think it can afford to decline further it’s a bit sad really.

Merino is a good player but I’m not to sure how suited he is for the premier league, he’s comfortable in possession and good technically but a bit slow and weak I think the speed of the premier league would be to much for him. I think he could fit in a system somewhere but he’s not what we need currently. I watched Real Sociedad vs Bilbao Saturday night in terms of breaking the lines and making things happen it was all 37 year old David Silva.

But as you say we really don’t know how much of this was on Emery.

Steven Gerrard is that you? I do agree he’s physically weak and slow, but he’s decent with the ball at his feet and can pick out a pass has he done enough to convince me he can make it here? No but he definitely deserves the time to do so.
