  1. Ok, congrats on some of those
  2. I reckon that QPR defeat at Chelsea has saved us. Which is handy, as we look entirely incapable of saving ourselves.
  3. Here here. This is one of my ultimate pet hates. So many people bandy it around nowadays without actually knowing what it means. But people who don't know it's "Hear, hear", not "Here here" may not be best placed to give us lectures on the meanings of words! :winkold: zing!
  4. Rupert complains about harassment from the press. Irony overload. http://huff.to/JGE7QV
  5. Surprised if Lambert was a popular choice here. I think he'd be a good choice personally, but we're talking about a man who idolises Martin O'Neill
  6. Really? They're not banned specifically for the final. The final happens to be the game they're due their suspension in. If it was a quarter final they'd be banned for that. Chelsea and Bayern WILL be in the final. The individual players within those squads do not have a divine right to play in those finals irrespective of what they got up to to get there. Other players will come in. That's what a squad is for. I also disagree that yellow cards in no way reflect the magnitude of the offence, most of the time or otherwise. Most yellow cards are dished out for incidents that deserve a yellow card. Whether it be going through the back of someone, cynically breaking up an imminent counter-attack, questioning the referee's parentage, simulation, time-wasting. All of the above in some way are helping your team towards the goal of reaching the final. If you end up suspended by doing it then so be it. Take your medicine. Spot on. On another note, if Chelsea win the final and finish 6th in the league, does that mean they qualify for CL next year at the expense of the 4th place club?
  7. Marc Albrighton has taken plenty of stick on here this season. So have most of the youngsters!
  8. Barca beaten and Terry suspended for the final. Superb
  9. Thanks Randy you **** muppet.
  10. Where is Bale supposed to be going? Barcelona or Madrid isn't it?
  11. Well in fairness, the Spurs squad does only have about 40 professionals. With a squad that small, I'm surprised they can even field a team of 11.
  12. Trotting out "Premier League experience is a MUST". He said it. What he should have said is... "Success managing a Premier League team is a MUST" Faulkner is the clown who got Eck One of the worst decisions in the history of Aston Villa and one that 99 per cent of the fans predicted  But.. .but... he had a letter from Sir Alex!
  13. Maybe we did encourage it. Certainly the frequency of his theatrics with us would suggest we didn't discourage it.
  14. What exactly did he do apart from leave because of a fallout with the owner? Gave us our most successful period of recent times... the big tosser. Hanging's too good for him.
  15. Dalglish insists that he made the decision on every transfer, Comolli just did the leg work. So Kenny still happy to take the responsibility for the shite they've signed.
  16. Gabby on the captaincy... http://bit.ly/IAzSAd
  17. With Lerner it was incompetence, with O'Neill it was malice. So you know it was malice... how?
  18. The guy walked out on us 5 days before kick off Selfish rocket polisher Why did he walk out CI? Do you know something nobody else does? Did he walk out on a whim, or was he given good reason? The settlement payment suggests he probably had very good reason. Milner left after the season had already started, but I don't see him getting abused for it, and we probably suffered from his loss just as much as MONs.
  19. No. I just find it hard to believe that the club would agree an out of court settlement with MON if he'd thrown his toys out the pram and walked out like the two face talentless back stabber he so clearly is. I find it however quite easy to believe that Randy went back on an agreement with him, moving the goalposts to such a degree that MON felt he could no longer work with him, and subsequently resigned with the intention of taking the club to court for some form of contractual breach... resulting in the club agreeing and out of court settlement with him. I'm happy to be proven wrong. But I find it hard to have any personal bitterness towards a man who did a very good job for us, especially when compared to a **** chairman who hired Houllier and McLeish.
  20. Made a lot of shite signings, players on extortionate wages which we can't get rid off and consequently we're in a relegation battle. Yes a great manager. Yes, MON is the reason we're in a relegation battle.
  21. Awful lot of bitterness towards a man who gave us our best seasons in years before being seemingly forced into resigning by our clueless chairman.
  22. You fail. He did play in the PL - for Palace. I do agree with the sentiment though. Muscat was an utter word removed, right up to his last ever game.
