  1. And did a ravenelli celebration with a villa shirt on underneath.
  2. did Ronaldo compete in 2002 qualifiers. not sure he did as for Januzaj I don't think he will go to world cup as has not really been in united team recently. seems to have faded out I expect him to go. I imagine he negotiated with Belgian and struck a deal where one of the hot prospects picks them and in return he goes to this world cup.
  3. Agree. I can't see Pulis allowing his team to 'be on the beach.'
  4. They don't even pretend to be unbiased these days. Liverpool are out first for the second half. Waiting on the pitch as Chelsea emerge. Are the Reds early and eager to get going? Or are Chelsea already dragging their feet? I know which I think is more likely. No changes for either side. Again.
  5. 1 month ago I thought this thread was ridiculous and an unnecssary but now there is a very real threat of relegation.
  6. Pricewise have a look at 3 mobile(pretty sure they did a deal lile that for £20 a few years back. They've improved a lot in terms of signal as well but probably worth checking before.
  7. Isn't the forum thread called 'takeover imminent?'
  8. I dread the day when, for marketing reasons, a team start using #. Imagine #AVFC on the badge. I hope it never happens.
  9. Hopefully we can know look to sign the rich club journey men... Wayne Bridge and Shaun Wright Phillips
  10. What if that one player got injured? Lambert had to build a squad. Building a squad of poor players is about as much use as a chocolate teapot. The playerd quoted were Luna, Sylla, Bowery, Helenius and Tonev. Luna - who we raved about at the start of the season Sylla - Who many say was a kep reason we stayed up last season, with his performances at the end. Bowery - Fair enough, indefensible. Helenius - who many want called up to the first team. Tonev - same as helenius Would certainly say they're more useful than a chocolate teapot.

  12. At least we've knocked "Gerrad - Why I cried", off the bbc sport page.
  13. Darren Bent back as physio? Alan Hutton as defensive coach?
  14. I assume villa89 is suggesting the first goal, (he can correct me if im wrong)? He was in no mans land but I thought Kompany was at mainly at fault for that, and all of Liverpool's goals.
  15. Think he has for the majority of their season. Think they play Rafinha and Alaba at full back.
  16. Applying this theory our current losing streak will end, so why are people worried.
  17. http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aston-villa-lambert-ask-transfer-6927427? Paul Lambert will ask Randy Lerner for extra transfer funds this summer after admitting Villa’s injury crisishas left his squad exposed. Villa were without Christian Benteke (Achilles), Fabian Delph (Achilles/calf), Gabby Agbonlahor (illness) and Karim El Ahmadi (thigh) during Saturday’s bleak 2-1 home defeat to bottom club Fulham. Jores Okore (knee), Libor Kozak (leg), Charles N’Zogbia (Achilles), Gary Gardner (foot) and Nicklas Helenius (thigh) have also been out injured, while Chris Herd is unavailable due to personal issues. Lambert hopes to welcome back Delph, Agbonlahor and El Ahmadi in time for Saturday’s trip to Crystal Palace. But he admits the size of his squad does need to be addressed in the summer – and he intends to have discussions about his budget with the chairman. “If you go through them, Okore is nearly a full season, Kozak virtually half-a-season, Benteke six months or so and Charles, so they’ve been major, major injuries, they’re not just strains or anything,” said Lambert. “As well as Christian, we were without Gabby and Fabian. It’s a big chunk and if you throw in El Ahmadi as well because he’s been playing really well of late. That’s four lads that have been playing virtually the whole season for us and when you lose that it is a big chunk to lose. “I think a club this size needs a big squad and these conversations will happen probably in a few weeks’ time. Hopefully Lerner will give him the money.
  18. 5th longest serving manager in the premier league, and 22nd in the football league. The shelf life of managers is so short. I know this get bought up so often but I couldnt believe when I saw that.
  19. Well a positive here is that my prediction, even on the pessimistic side, had us 13th and not in too much trouble.
  20. I was looking for the BBC Predictor but it seems to have vanished but i found this one. It's actually a bit easier to use than BBC's old one. https://www.thesportspredictor.com/app/?_tp=predictor&f_mp# This is my table, City winning with Norwich, Cardiff and Fulham going down. Villa 13th 1 Man City 38 59 87 2 Liverpool 38 55 85 3 Chelsea 38 44 84 4 Arsenal 38 21 76 5 Everton 38 20 72 6 Tottenham 38 0 70 7 Man Utd 38 16 66 8 Southampton 38 9 58 9 Newcastle 38 -13 49 10 Stoke 38 -11 44 11 Swansea 38 -2 41 12 West Ham 38 -11 40 13 Aston Villa 38 -16 40 14 Hull City 38 -9 38 15 Crystal Palace 38 -23 36 16 West Brom 38 -15 35 17 Sunderland 38 -21 35 18 Norwich 38 -31 35 19 Cardiff 38 -32 34 20 Fulham 38 -40 34
  21. Where has this Lukaku idea come from? If he leaves Chelsea, why would he come here? He has been vital for Everton, who are battling for europe and if they win their game in hand will be 1 point behind arsenal. There would be so many more attractive offers for him to consider than a mid-tablr to bottom half team who, currently, don't pay big wages.
  22. A Villa match not on TV? Sounds odd. Hopefully a win but even a draw wouldnt be bad for us here, off the back of two 4-1 losses. If KEA is fit then I think Lambert will go for: Guzan Bacuna Vlaar Baker Bertrand KEA Westwood Delph Agbonlahor Albrighton Benteke If KEA is not fit then possibly sylla in for him or bacuna in the middle and Lowton.
  23. Sunderland match after Tottenham looks hard...it'll be hard to beat everyon(e)
