  1. By all Accounts Chelsea are playing utter garbage so don't hold your breath, Can't see Norwich scoring or winning either
  2. I think if those results happen, especially if Wigan lose, I'd be reasonably happy with a draw
  3. has the feelings of a shit weekend football wise ATM, At least Man Utd got the win, think of all the teams above us they are the most vulnerable, would be nice for them and one other to get pulled into it but I can't see anyone else getting pulled in.
  4. Chelsae seem to be on mission this year to give points up to all the other teams in the dog fight at the bottom except us Currently doing a fine job of losing to Southampton, I guess Sunderland will be next recipients in their generous 'points donation system to struggling clubs other than Villa' Scheme
  5. i think we're capable of two wins and two draws from our final games, but an odd mistake or poor refs decision like we've suffered from regularly throughout the season could be all the difference, lets hope these things really do equal out over a season because atm we sure are currently in deficit with such things so we're due some payback.
  6. Callum Robinson is English, or at least he has represented England at u17 level, plenty of players have gone on from that to represent other nations though, but it is nice to see a British youth side made up mainly of players from the British Isles.and doing well
  7. For a bunch of young kids, they seem to be very strong mentally, wish we could transfuse some of that to the first team?
  8. currently listening to The new Eels relese, Wonderful Glorious along with the tremendous Dynamite live album in prep for seeing them live on Saturday (and having a reminisce of the gig in Melbourne from that tour) , been a bit busy lately but hopeing to check The Veils - Time stays, We go and the Foals new release.
  9. I currently use the old telephone ring ring, but previous to that had an instrumental version of this one before that was this instrumental My message tone is the 'Oh yeah" from the start of Muddy waters Mannish boy For my Alarm tone, I have the same as my message except it longer as it also has the bit "everything, everything's gonna be alright this morning"
  10. Cool Groovy, I like this. Sounds like Jethro Tull at the start. Agreed. I'd probably sack the drummer though. I sing in a covers band. We're awful and play music I hate. I have to learn Sweet Emotion by Monday evening. I'd rather eat my own face You sound just like my son, currently doing a Btec in music performance and as part of a band having to learn one song after another week after week that he dislikes and usually they don't suit his voice or style of singing, Not such a problem in itself if the band were able to cover them in an original way but they are told they have to be in the same style a the original. then the lecturers wonder why they make a half arsed attempt, At times it seems like the lecturers are on a mission to drain all the passion out of them
  11. Just think yourself lucky you haven't any experience of the corrupt new system and hope you never have to. I shan't go into too much detail, but having experienced the system through helping someone else claim, someone genuinely disabled from birth, If I hadn't seen it I would never believe such a system would exist in a country claiming to be fair and civilized, Having seen the medical report by Atos of a medical interview I sat in on I would say it could be considered almost criminal in what is happening. A couple of examples are as such and by no means would these be the only ones 1. doctor asks if the claimant had any problem traveling to the medical The answer given was: No, not really, but only because My friend (me) bought me here, I could not have found my way here on my own, I really struggle to understand maps and directions, I need people to make sure I get on the right bus and I could not have managed to get here on my own Doctor then asked, could you find your way here again Answer, NO I couldn't, probably would get very lost The report said, patient had no problem traveling to the medical or getting about in general. 2. Doctor asks, Can you learn simple tasks like setting an alarm clock answer, No, I've never been able to do that, even though I try, somethings I just can't seem to learn no matter how hard I try, I have to get other people to do things like that for me report says, No difficulty in learning new tasks. Medical supporting evidence was taken along, it wasn't even looked at, the claimant was having a hard time understanding and answering some questions so looked to me to help explain, and help them give answer, I was told I couldn't help them, I had to sit there quietly. Utter surprise when the decision to place in work group and that they should be perfectly fit to enter employment within 12 months, that was until we got the report, which at first was questioned as it appeared to be about someone completely different, this was questioned as assurances that it was indeed the correct report where given, I read the report after sitting in on the medical I would not believe it was other than the name to not in any form representative of the medical or the person assessed. Now you can find reports of experiences similar to this all over the place i suppose the question is why are companies like Atos following such dodgy practices and seemingly biased against the claimant agendas. is such an attitude reliant on the award of contract. Oh yea, before anyone asks about why interviews arn't recorded, at the time Atos had banned to recording of medicals, They have since relaxed this view, provided before you leave the medical you can provide 2 copies of your recording on CD.
  12. There won't be any jobs with no pension provision in the next couple of years. Not sure which government, (this one, the last one or the European one) brought that in, but it's here. I may be wrong as my understanding of the new compulsory pensions scheme is a little thin, but Isn't there an "opt out' option on the employees part and as the employers part of the compulsory pension is reliant on employee contribution it makes the everyone will get a pension argument a little creaky, It reasonable to argue opt out may very well be commonplace amongst those purported to be helped by this provision, seeing as many people currently struggle to just live from day to day,It's also a this a situation that is bound to increase with inflation currently outstripping wages,(maybe except for the very wealthy). So from this reasoning The people most likely not to have pension provision are most likely to remain so under the new set up. The only way this could have been improved was to make the employer contribution compulsory and not dependent the Employee also making contribution i.e. 'remaining opted in'. Now if they had introduced something along those lines then you would be closer to the Australian system of 9% compulsory contribution by the employer on top of salary. Then maybe the lack of pension situation in old age could really have been combated. The situation seems more a case as always that governments want you to seen to be tackling a problem while doing nothing worthwhile or constructive about it they also seem more intent people have enough pension provision to be unable to qualify for any state help, often leaving a situation where they may actually be worse off, rather than have enough pension contribution be be financially secure in old age. Of course I may have misunderstood the whole compulsory pension scheme and hence talking utter bollocks
  13. Thought that last year, only to be undone despite being comfortably the better side, by an awful off side decision and being on the end of some disgusting gamesmanship and cheating from Marseille.
  14. No problem with MP's employing members of their own family, just doing so at no personal expense and for very questionable reasons and value to the taxpayer. Especially whilst spouting the need victimise the disabled under the guise of helping them in order to protect the tax payer from having tax revenue frittered away on the lazy and feckless so they can live a life of luxury on benefits (oh the hypocracy). oh and I wouldn't call Iam donkey smith a loathsome hypocrite because he's a Tory, It's because he is, just like I'd call Tony Bliar a lying manipulative morally corrupt opportunist because he is or gormless brown a clueless idiot, but I guess to get the best to be politicians you have to pay the going rate, then let them have all sorts of legal but morally wrong ways of squeezing lots more out of the public purse.
  15. Because he's the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions? and? He as head of department leads a concerted campaign to target unemployed and disabled people, to portray them as feckless scroungers (no doubt a percentage of them are but does that justify tarring everyone with the same brush) and systematically attack their ability to afford to live under the guise of protecting honest hardworking taxpayers from their scrounging ways, By using changes to the regulations and down right corrupt systems to administer those regulations, whilst happily exploiting a situation to sponge another 18,000 quid from those hard working taxpayers, of course the obvious difference is he believes he (or rather his wife) deserves it. surely if he's so in favour in helping those hard pressed taxpayers he should take the equivalent of jobseeekrs and other benefits he's be entitled to in remuneration for his work for the government. after all if he and his department are to believed, via the planted storied in the press you can live a life of luxury on JSA, why would you need more.
  16. So by your application of the logic of relativity, doing wrong is ok and can be ignored as long as it's not as wrong in financial terms as someone else's doing wrong, I think that's what your saying,
  17. Lets hope their players believe that as well and get a little complacent, A couple of bad results and they could find themselves one place above the trap door, then they can panic and capitulate. Well it's a pleasant thought anyway, so lets live in hope, even if I actually believe you are right in your analysis of the situation
  18. We should get 20M plus if he has a half decent run till the end of the season, but Villa will probably sell him for no more than 15M, who's knows Spurs or Man city might offer 9- 10M and a useless throwaway player that had a good season or two ages ago, the clueless Twonks in charge would probably accept
  19. nice to see Micheal Drennan make it into the nextgen team of the series (well for the group stages), Alfie crooks is still at school but is a big lad for his age apparently (tall rather than Wayne Rooney big) probably why he's playing at U18 level and seemingly doing alright.
  20. agree about Fulham and Sunderland, they both had a little revival that means they find themselves in a position that they should pick up enough points to keep clear, west brom however are in freefall, unfortunately they have started falling from a pretty high league and points total, but their form over the last 6 games has been 5 defeats and one draw, we all know who the draw was against. might be interesting if they keep that form up till the end of the season. I happen to think Southampton will pull clear, seems no matter how they play they get results and score goals. my three to go down are QPR, Villa and one from Wigan Reading and Norwich.
  21. just pray you never get seriously ill or disabled, This lot of evil doing shitbags might as well just introduce compulsory euthenasia for anyone "lazy" enough to be born with illness and disability and hopeing to scrounge their way to a life of luxury on the 100 odd quid a week you can get
  22. gutted, realy thought for once we were gonna hold on, we gave Everton so much space they hardly needed the twelve they had on the pitch though.
