  1. i know this should be left lonely and forgotten awaiting the axe of autoprune, but would the 3 people who voted yes, come forward and explain themselves fully.
  2. am I? maybe another poll is in order, just because you're not concerned with who villa fans go to watch, doesn't mean others arn't. I think you'll find i'm not the only one to disagree and take issue with a ludicrous statement. I did question it, as i have already stated at the time it was made, JPA then still stood by it being true, I was curious as to how true, did he have an insight into villa fans psyche that i was lacking. If it was as he stated then surely the time for Aston Villa to pack up was upon us. btw Richard, I'm not going to see fulham, I only go down to see the big boys, when they play us. I'll be at Villa Park on Saturday to see Liverpool reserves (IIRC) btw there a big difference between being childish and taking the piss when someone deserves it.
  3. no the poll's fine, It askes the question i need to know the answer to. your statement wasn't about peoples opinions as to why fans went to games, it was that 40,000 will only go to see Arsenal at our next home game. I'm seeing how true it is. seems the usual pattern is occuring make an ludicrous and dubious statement, when questioned, insist it stands then avoid any further questions and smudge the issue in defence of it, even contradicting your original statement in the process. but i must admit it's not looking good, 39,981 unaccounted for, maybe you're right, and they are too embarressed to openly admit they only go to see the opposition.
  4. Posting for Effect, I've actually left out the other half of his quote, which is actually more insulting to villa fans, that the 4,000 that went to old trafford only did so to see Utd. seeing as we sell out the majority of our awayday allocations this is actually harder to defens than the Arsenal bit.
  5. JPA most cetainly is neither an idiot or inarticulate. More likely it's PFE
  6. NEUTRALS ARE NOT VILLA FANS. read JPA's quote I questioned him and he insisted that his statement was true. I'm checking it out for him, because i don't believe any VILLA FANS, or at least not more than a handful go to see the opposition
  7. yes Arsenal fans and neutrals. but Villa fans? there should only be two, but i'll add a third option3 could read, yes, I'm a casual gloryboy fan who can only be arsed to go when we play the big boys, and yes it's to see the opposition. the point is villa fans even casual one go to see villa play, there is a difference between going to see villa play and choosing to do it when they play one of the big clubs, and choosing to go to a villa match against one of the big boys to see the opposition. I think the former accounts for most casuals, I think the latter are a small minority. Me i'd be classed a casual (1/2 dozen games a season, not one against the bigger teams)
  8. JPA, Our resident PFE member recently made an accusation when talking about the arsenal game that quote so why would you be going, do you agree with JPA, or should he make an apology to us all for doubting our motives and painting us as all wanabee Arsenal fans. ps notice it says villa fans, not neutrals or arsenal fans in the villa end.
  9. Rob has a point, I never really used to give a toss about small heath, except for the laughter they provided, it's the no-brain dickwipes and the utter shite they spout that is really annoying, but that's enough about the board of sha, the fans are bloody annoying too with all there big club nonsense, as much of there exsistance outside the top flight as in, never finishing above 6th, crap ground, crap players since the dawn of time, never winning a mojor trophy (well one that was considered major at the time, the league cup wasn't in the early 60's), beating villa is the biggest achievement they can hope for, it's where the extra passion and effort comes from on derby day, to us it's another game against a small club, just happens to be one from just down the road.
  10. Well no one player is bigger than a club, even a shit little club like small heath, so it follows no one player could be as hated as the vile nasty little club he played for, simple really, just like the majority of small heath turds shame the argument doesn't stand up for leicester city though.
  11. He's decided it's time to bring some respectability to britsih Tennis, He knows it'll be tough but he's sure he can make up for Tim Henmans inabilities and carry them both to bring home the doubles title at the Australian open to good old blighty.
  12. Why are people not entitled to their opinions without being subjected to this. Gee I wonder why they choose not to identify themselves. For the record, I think they are wrong and I said 'no'. But what's the point of a poll if you are only allowed to answer one way or you will get humiliated? Matts right, my mom told me not to mock the metally afflicted, so leave the mentally incompetent ones alone, let then come forth and make fools of themselves free from the ridicule, It can't be easy to deal with being subject to sufferring delusional thougths
  13. not to some it isn't, after all 'duogy do-wrong' can't actually do wrong.
  14. Surely the title of this thread should have been "who is blues' least shit player"
  15. generally a slightly below average year, personally it was a bad one, which would makes it sort of average seeing as about 6 out of the last 10 have been bad years personally. things have got to change around sooner or later i suppose.
  16. If you look closely enough, printed on Heskeys boots is the number of minutes per game that Emile spends on his arse... Ah I thought i felt an earth tremor on saturday evening while at my brothers in sutton, I believed i was imagining it, realise now i wasn't.
  17. like everything it all depends on the opposition, and how you want to approach each individual game,
