They really weren't. I think it was the first 25 minutes in where I thought about posting he needs to come off. I didnt because i was trying to be optimistic but by then he had managed to break up attacking moves for us, didn't offer any protection for cash so they just kept playing down our right, fell over multiple times giving the ball away and made us look weak. Everyone was effected clearly by that, hence the huge drop off in performance by the entire team. bailey didnt drop off, that would imply he, at some stage of the game, was good. He wasnt, hence a large amount of people wanting him off at half time. Bailey has for some time become a FFS player, the ball goes to him, he messes up and you auto have in your head 'FFS bailey' . He does nothing positive for at least 75% of the time it goes to him and just as the passing stats for yesterday show you, he can't even pass it to his own team mates let alone beat his man, basic traits of his position. Hes like a worse trez. At least trez put in the effort of closing players down or pressuring the opposition defence.

Another who had a shocker Didn't help that 1st half Bailey was in front of him doing little to nothing so was hung out to dry and by half time he was on a yellow card or if not was 1 mild foul away from 1. Then he panics, tries to get forward but cuts back every time, can't get back as trying to push forwards and can't tackle because he's on a yellow. At fault for 1st and 4th ? goals due to poor awareness and positioning. He can look really good, normally when mcginn is in front of him, he looks really bad when left to mark 2 players. Something young would normally sort out but we let him go and didn't replace.

Today emery got it badly wrong. Can't help injuries but he's seen enough of the players to know who can be relied on and who can't. He will not be so trusting with certain players again I feel.

It was not a performance to be proud of. He looks unfit, lightweight, slow and lacking basic skills for a winger. He's a luxury player, if we are 2 or 3 up then he gets some minutes but is just so so terribly bad at most things. It's on emery today, he should never have started and mcginn should have not been moved to accommodate him.

Totally devastated. Mings did however cause part of the issue himself, yes it was a freak injury, but why tf are you trying to play the player when you have conceded 2 goals early in the game ? Just knock it out for a throw !! It's something mings used to do, get suckered into playing the player not the ball and it's rarely worked in his favour. Fingers cross for him, he's probably bar doug, the most improved player in our squad since promotion and one of the most important players for spirit and organisation. Also one of my favourite players.

Got a stupid yellow after 9 minutes, wasn't that bad, far better than a lot of the team today. No yellow and he can be a bit more aggressive. Easy yellow for kicking the ball to stop a thrown in.. should be fined for that, it was just stupid

Cash with zero help from Bailey managed to get torn apart and then booked, poor decision making multiple times and at fault for 2 ? Of the goals, 1st being 2 yards behind the high line and 2nd fancying around and instead of a simple pass to torres makes a stupid pass to martinez, they then score, from nothing. Konsa, started well enough but then went to sleep multiple times for at least 2 goals Digne, gets a stupid yellow after 9 minutes and then is under pressure all game. Teilmans played deep then further forward then deep by which time the balls zoomed passed him and he's out of the game, multiple times. Doug, a very bad day, possibly should have had a penalty but really looked off. Kamara decided we don't need the ball any more and just gave it away repeatedly Mings being injured just sums up what a terrible day its been. Instead of playing the ball, goes back to trying to play the player, something he trys to do and rarely succeeds in doing. Ends up probably out 3 to 9 months now, gutted for him. We possibly now need a right back a winger and a forward as a matter of urgency after injuries and players continuing to fail to impress. I can only hope man utd get hammered.

Can't watch any more, been a shambles, konsa been pretty wank today, cash pretty wank teilmans in the wrong position should be further forward mginn taken off when he's the only one who will fight, watkins doing an impression of the lazy invisible man. Too many totally off form today and poor set up from the off and continued throughout the game by emery. He will need to make some simple decisions such as dont start Bailey, push konsa to right side cash doesn't start. Kamara doesn't start on today's piss poor show, given the ball away more times than his made a successful pass. At least it can't get any worse.

Bailey off please Mginn back on the right against burns, he is completely ineffective where he has been put. Teilmans on in front of doug and kamara Diaby on the left Can't honestly think of one positive from Bailey today, very poor performance, lacking pace, energy, composure , skill and tactical positioning.

Mings injured But doing what he used to, charging the player rather than going for the ball. Bailey looks too weak down the right, would rather mcginn goes there and Bailey stays left while he is on the pitch.

Maybe a loan for 12 months for 6 million euros and we cover his wages and then just 22 million straight up next year ? That way they keep 6 million plus most of 20 million rather than giving more to roma ? Or 2 year loan for 5 million per season then 16 million in 2 years time. Helps our ffp spreading it out so much and helps them bank more rather than handing it to roma that way they keep 24 of the 26 million.

Watched the game yesterday, well some of it. Exeter have changed their playing style and are now playing a basic version of how we play. That should help sinisalo. Didn't really have too much to do in the 45 mins or so I watched, played it out on the ground 70% of the time. Should be looking at mid table and upwards this season, the preseason games were almost like when we changed our way of playing, players trying to get more used to keeping it rather than launching it every time.
