  1. Well Anthony Taylor showing inconsistency with that yesterday. He's the one (iirc) that gave the Jota pen vs Newcastle a few weeks ago and that is similar imo to the Forest one yesterday.
  2. and Blackburn appoint John Eustace
  3. Going to a Betis game in a few weeks. Excited to see how the atmosphere compares to a PL match
  4. Bailey the only one to come out of that game with any credit for me.
  5. it's our first loss with him as the center ref. Brooks has usually been one of the best in the league tbf
  6. I think it was clear that he was/is not going anywhere this transfer window. Over the summer would be a different story especially financially.
  7. Agree to disagree on everything else, but with this I am wondering if it is because of the age gap between him and the rest of that group. He's at least 5 years younger than almost everyone else in that group.
  8. yep, completely unsurprised that stuff like this came out.
  9. It's a convoluted mess, but New Hampshire - by its own state laws -- has the first primary in the country. There is technically both a Democratic & Republican primary today. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/bidens-ballot-new-hampshires-primary-dems-win/story?id=1065681
  10. Biden is very unpopular over here, he just so happens to be running against someone who is even more unpopular. He (Biden) isn't even on the New Hampshire primary due to Democratic party shenanigans..... I would be interested to see if Dean Phillips gets more than 30% of the vote.
  11. hopefully that account gets the right flag next time.
  12. From what I've heard, he's turned down other PL clubs in the past as well as NFL teams. Read that he is seen as highly regarded in sport as well.
  13. yeah probably. Happened in 2016 as well..... there was always going to be only 1 Republican candidate in '24.
  14. I don't like this move. Seems extremely sensible and they haven't done something like that in a while.
  15. Ron is out, and endorses Trump on his way out.
  16. signed a contract extension right before January.
  17. Think this article pretty well explains the situation both sides are facing. Many Americans in Disbelief Over Trump-Biden Election Rematch - The New York Times (nytimes.com)
  18. Oh, I completely believe that things are going to get worse no matter who gets elected. The increased polarization and politicization of the country is still rapidly happening. I think his mental state has rapidly deteriorated. It is painful sitting through listening to him talk. I have family members who have dementia (it runs in my family) and it looks to me like Biden has some form of dementia. yup. I moved to where I currently live in '21. Trump won this state by 20+ points in the '20 election. If I lived in a state where it will be closer, I probably would bite my lip and vote Biden. Biden taking ill would definitely be the best outcome, but I don't see him stepping aside unless something like that happens. In terms of all the things you mention with the jobs, I completely agree with you that it is important. But in the rust belt, people have been hemorrhaging jobs, money, and their future/careers. I know several people in Pennsylvania who hate Biden / Democrats because we aren't using our own resources for energy (Coal).
  19. In European terms yes, completely not in America Few reasons. 1. I don't think Biden is fit to hold office, so I cannot, in good conscience, vote for someone who I think is incompetent. (I also personally believe he has dementia, but that's a different story) 2. Deals with 1, I just don't see how Biden can finish another 4-year term without some sort of major health scare / issue 3. Also deals with 1, I don't trust Biden to make the right decision (or one at all) if there was a major issue (e.g. Iran, China) 4. I live in a state that is already going to massively swing one way, so I know that my vote will not really matter. 5. The damage has already been done -- not even institutionally, but just social media has completely deepened the divide. 6. I won't vote for Trump either, he's just as unfit to hold office as Biden imo.
