  1. It could indeed, but I was more talking about why we've not been great since essentially securing our safety. Nobody at villa wants to misabthe final, if we didn't have a final wed have looked very different the last 2 games
  2. The majority of the arsenal players don't have next week as the highlight of their careers though. They've got fa cup winners, world cup winners, champions league regulars and what have you. Saturday is another day at then office for them. For most of our boys it'll be the first and last time they play on a stage that big
  3. If he wasn't fast he wouldn't he a footballer. I can't remember who, but someone in our youth setup said as much. He had pace and absolutely nothing else, but he was so fast they reckoned thy might have a chance of making the other stuff at least passable and he might be some way useful
  4. Leicester, Chelsea, southampton and Stoke don't have a cup final next week though
  5. I'm not too concerned with us finishing 17th to be honest, I think once we were safe players were doing their best not to miss the cup final because of injuries or niggles. That'll make a big difference in performance, even though it's likely only a subconscious thing. Nobody's going to want to give 100% knowing they could miss the biggest game of their career because of it, and I think that, to a certain extent, that had us on the beach after our good run given the likelihood of us going down once we'd beaten West Ham. Not ideal, but that's the way it goes. If we didn't have an FA Cup final next week we're not losing the last 2 games by an aggregate of 7-1, I guarantee it, rightly or wrongly
  6. I find making a spreadsheet of every penny you spend over month 1 of your new financial routine is a great way to identify what needs to be trimmed in terms of expenditure. It's very easy to get into the "it's only a fiver" mentality, but over the course of a month, those fivers add up pretty quickly, and it's amazing to see how much money you waste once you actually document every single penny for a typical month. Once that's done figure out what you can cut out or scale back on, and set a budget for those for the new month. The aim should to beat the budget without leaving yourself stuck without anything you genuinely need. You'll quickly start to identify the actual essentials, and they're often not what you think they are
  7. Me saying this just about sums it up Well, don't I feel silly
  8. the dog got a wash and a trim at the pet shop today and she's looking like a proper old english sheepdog now!
  9. Your second bit contradicts the first bit
  10. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the fee is for a snippet of text to go with the link, rather than for linking itself. Essentially you've to pay a royalty to use ANY of the content in the article on a third party site, providing the link doesn't seem to be an issue here
  11. Arsenal 1-2 West Brom Aston Villa 1-2 Burnley Chelsea 4-1 Sunderland Crystal Palace 1-2 Swansea Everton 1-2 Tottenham Hull 2-1 Man Utd Leicester 1-1 QPR Man City 3-1 Southampton Newcastle 1-1 West Ham Stoke 0-1 Liverpool
  12. Gabby plays well in fits and starts - usually 6-8 games a season. That's not enough though. If we had an offer come in I'd happily see him off, but it won't happen since he's just signed a new deal and is probably on all kinds of silly money that nobody else would offer him.
  13. As opposed to an Arsenal side with one eye on a cup final who won't particularly want to get involved in anything physical? I think WBA could beat them, however I don't see the necessary swing happening. It MIGHT, but I really hope it doesn't, because I want a Hull win more than anything this weekend
  14. Found a wallet last week in Walmart that must've had three or four grand in cash in it, but I'm a decent sort and went straight to a till and had them make an announcement over the tannoy for the owner via the name on the drivers license. The chap presented himself at customer service at the other end of the store and I was happy enough to leave it at that and resume my shopping. Didn't want to make it awkward by waiting around looking like I was reward hunting
  15. Absolutely loved rush and must watch or again soon
  16. ahahahahah What. The. ****. Did. I. Just. Read!?!?
  17. Technically not impossible, a 2-0 loss for Arsenal and a 5-0 win for Man U would put them level on points, goal difference, goals scored, goals conceded, wins, losses and draws
  18. Remember that time Gabby was nominated for Young Player of the Year?
  19. But will the clubs who want him be able to afford him, or agree with our valuation? That's the important bit
  20. And you reckon the pressure of a move to Liverpool could be too much, so you think he should move to a bigger club instead? You're contradicting your own nonsense
  21. Who mentioned dream move? You're the only one who said that. It's a step up in the table and in terms of visibility, and it's only a stepping stone for him if he goes there. Villa to a top team is a massive jump, villa to Liverpool isn't as big a gap and it would potentially make sense for him to move there as a seque If he goes to Liverpool he's starting ecry single game, just like he does at villa. Notbsure why you think moving there will stop his development, because it won't. He'll play as much, he's more likely to challenge the top end and he'll get far more and exposure to top clubs
  22. I take great umbrage with this bit: He could double Austin's £28,000 a week wages without smashing Villa's pay structure and show a hefty profit into the bargain. If we sign Charlie Austin and stick him on 56k a week I'll have a big problem with it
