  1. I think support for independence is currently bumping along at between 3% and 28% depending on who's phrased the question and who's polling you want to use to support your argument. I think support for greater powers for the assembly is around 50% / 60% based on that same caveat. I'd be up for it.
  2. I have been to a city and I have seen petrol and diesel cars. In line with recent advice about experts, I was able to think for myself that diesels were noisy, smelly and dirty and not the future. That people were prepared to ignore their own eyes, ears and noses and be persuaded that diesel was a good thing to promote just shows how well we teach and promote critical thinking in this country.
  3. good news, very best of luck just remember fresh starts are for both of you now might be the only chance you get to say that thing you've been wanting to say or make some sort of change you've wanted to see happen
  4. From a mixtape that Xann shared out a couple of years ago, as soon as I heard it, it was in the film I'll eventually make once the funding comes through. Scene is a very very clean and sparkly white tiled domestic kitchen floor, with several bloody trails where bodies have been dragged out of the house. As bright and shiny as an advert for domestic cleaning products. Sparkly music. Blood. Lots of blood.
  5. It would be interesting to see the opinion of the viewer if the kid was parroting something less trendy. Perhaps a love for Jesus or beauty pageants or buckfast. I've only watched the first 50 seconds or so. If I was an angry brexit type looking to stamp on dissenting opinion, I'd have highlighted her privileged background at being able to choose and afford what country to live in. Privileged people lacking empathy with a shake up of the established order, who'd a thunked it. But I didn't last the full minute. Story of my life.
  6. perhaps Trump could update the talk over for the Brum Tourist Board Advert
  7. I was down to the last two in an interview for a car manufacturer's magazine. We were being interviewed side by side and the question asked was 'what are your two strongest qualities?' First guy answered with some tosh about hard work or loyalty or creativity to deadlines or some such arse lickery. I said good looks and modesty. The interviewer said he thought that was a bit of a stupid answer. I said it was because it was a bit of a stupid question. Totally owned the room, master of the **** universe. Didn't get the gig. At the time, I was genuinely shocked I didn't get it.
  8. always say yes, always volunteer 4 times out of 5 the project doesn't happen but you get the credit for stepping up then you're remembered and get the foreign travel and bonus I've basically built a career on saying yes to projects that haven't happened.
  9. absolutely beautiful sound and a nice thing to hold too
  10. well, at least we know where it is
  11. It’s essentially a thread trying to build romantic mystery out of missing persons. There’s a nod towards alien abductions. A ‘famous’ person that went missing was Richey Edwards there in the picture, from the Manic Street Preachers. No body found, nothing, just missing and eventually presumed dead so everyone could wrap up the paper work and grieve. Lots of bogus ‘sightings’ all over the world. Works in a chippy in Pontypandy apparently. By chance, today is exactly 25 years to the day that Richie’s Manic Street Preachers released the album Generation Terrorist, which includes the most beautiful song about loneliness and despair, Motorcycle Emptiness. To complete the coincidences, today is also dydd miwsig cymru, welsh music day.
  12. When you have significantly more than the others, you basically have to decide whether you're going to build a bigger table or a bigger wall.
  13. you'll just have to take my word for it that I answered as honestly as I could and didn't just go through the questions 'strongly' agreeing or disagreeing I've done the form a few times, it's usually there or there about. For the record, I've voted Plaid a few times as they've been the best fit. I'm probably just a virtue signalling snowflake remoaner poof. I think that location on the chart basically says, I'm a bit of a communist, but you do what you like.
  14. Generation Terrorist / Motorcycle Emptiness is 25 years old today!
  15. album out tomorrow tour through March & April
  16. I watched the Cardiff version yesterday. It was absolutely compelling, couldn't stop watching it. Not in a good way.
  17. woman in Question Time audience: 'We ruled the world for thousands of years like a guiding light until this EU' I think that closes the debate with a win for Brexit.
  18. Made in Birmingham Sky channel 117 Virgin channel 159
  19. to be fair, Murdoch isn't officially elected to any position in the UK government either but it's turned out today it was his hand up Gove's arse directing the questions and the gurning when Gove 'interviewed' Trump sometimes, some people outside of the government can form government opinion and direction
  20. Just saw two gulls in a park doing the little ground tamping dance, trying to drum up worms. I'd have far more respect for gulls if they did this more often, rather than just scrounging chips and bits of pasty.
