  3. needs to work on those tiny wheels
  4. The best Indian restaurant in england is the Agra (backstreet midway between Warren Street & Goodge Street tube stops). None of your trendy johnny come lately northern bollocks, it's been there since the 1930's it's small, shabby looking and the food is always always excellent. We had a meal there one time with a 'new' member of our little party. This guy wasn't interested in tasting the food or accepting recommendations from people that have eaten there a few times. No he wanted the hottest sauce they could get him. Billy big chilli bollocks. Anyway, they brought out the food as per usual, plus they brought new guy a bowl of his own sauce. As the waiter was putting the sauce down he gave the following advice: 'This is a special sauce for the gentleman. Please don't anyone else eat it. It will **** up your life.' Sure enough, he ate it, but he didn't join in the talk very much and was pretty much the first to leave. Personally, I prefer more taste than heat.
  5. errrmm, I'm responsible for part of that spike. I don't suppose you've been receiving some hastily written tender documents? I've had to write up some notes on metal corrosion and it's consequences and what the remedy is presumed to be. Lots of sentences where corrosion led to the need for lead on a long lead in time. It was a nightmare. I got word blind and distracted whilst under silly time pressure, started ignoring the helpful grammar and spelling notices from word. I'm doing a guided speaking tour of the building for the tenderers on Friday. Anybody picking up on my spilling stands little chance of winning.
  6. I **** knew it. Absolutely **** knew it. I was saying it over and over on the bus, but I couldn't catch anyone's eye. This ends tonight.
  7. Never been anywhere near facebook. I've only got two friends, and I made them from balloons, a couple of old hoodies and some stolen hair. I think they talk about me when I'm out.
  8. From the press association, the amount of time it takes to invite a President of the U.S.
  9. yep, right you are I'll park this up now
  10. D'you know what, I've done that all day. Literally included that same spelling of that same word in two planning submissions today, even after word kindly put a blue squiggle under it.
  11. Everybody understands that chasing a model of perpetual consumer lead material growth is just a suicide mission, yeah?
  12. Steve Marriott would've been 70 today. I'd have loved to have got to one of his gigs.
  13. You speedin' bro? What you got?
  14. early Trump ancestor found Scientists have identified an early ancestor with a tiny brain and a big mouth that doubles as an anus.
  15. @tonyh29 is going to be gutted if he misses that gig list. Chuck a Big Country cover band in the middle of that lot he'd think he'd died and gone to devon.
  16. No, to be fair she's really good at stuff like that. We're constantly looking to score juvenile points off each other and over 32 years I'd guess we're still about even.
  17. When BP Chemicals were taken over by Nippon Zeon the local workforce here in town were worried about the new Japanese regime. The first three things the new overlords did, were: Give a monthly cash budget to each shift work team to go out and socialise together as that work team saw fit, without managers present. Set up a de-stress room with punchbags with generic japanese faces on. Send a manager on a courtesy visit to any and all members of staff phoning in sick, to deliver complimentary fruit and see if there was anything else they needed. Time of visit 'random'. ---- true story
  18. Not much gets said about it? What the **** tv and papers are you using? It's all I'm ever seeing and hearing the troubles in Afghanistan, the shit people in Pakistan have to put up with, the tribal murders in Myanmar, killing female babies, chucking acid at women, female genital mutilation. Nobody is saying we are cavemen, don't try and be a victim, it's not a great look. Be the big man.
  19. The glorious 1950's when mixed race marriage was still illegal? Or the glorious 1950's when blacks weren't allowed to eat in the same restaurants or piss in the same toilets as white folk? That's not KKK stuff. that's law. I'm not picking on you, it's not post on poster, but that sort of thinking where everything would be nicer if it all went back to being a bit like it was, that's turning out to be a real desire for a lot of people. Usually people who had priviledge, or don't actually know what the past was like, or, or I don't know what. i can't get my head around it. We've all got google. Properly pisses me off, people referencing the good old days.
  20. Aah, I'm just glad we're currently burning the bridges to our 27 nearest neighbours, whilst at the same time promising to stand up to anything Trump says that is wrong.
  21. yep, we're not here very long, best to try and enjoy as much of the ride as possible got to find your thing
  22. My missus having a brilliant rant and vowing never to shop in the local waitrose ever again because she read they'd given £125 to some local **** conservative group. Me pointing out it said conservation group.
