  1. Me neither england 15th? I know, far too high..
  2. I think it's right that they should cover up, I don't want my kids seeing bare shoulders and elbows! What next? Hardcore porn on cbeebies!?
  3. Just bought tickets for this. I'm looking forward to entering the ground through someone's back garden. Magical.
  4. Swearing in the office. Swearing in general doesn't bother me at all, but in the office with mixed company, I don't like it. It makes me uncomfortable when someone's sitting here and loudly effing and jeffing. It's like when your friend from school comes back to yours and swears in front of your mum.
  5. Tea spoons that aren't strong enough for a good, hard bag squeezing.
  6. I love the idea of my organ being in someone else. LOL!!!
  7. For me, the opting in or out thing isn't the important part as such. I'm all for the system to stay exactly the same as it is now, but surely the issue of a lot healthy organs going to waste (ones that once belonged to a 'would have been' donor) needs to be addressed. It just seemed the opting out scheme was the simplest and quickest solution, but there are many other issues I hadn't considered, I guess.
  8. He's still on holiday though, isn't he? Jesus, hes been on holiday for what seems like decades. It is not an excuse, it never was an excuse imo. The point is, if he wanted it done, it would be done. He clearly does not want the the guaranteed pay rise to stay at Villa that much. 3 weeks out of the country. Not exactly a gap year.
  9. I've never really thought about the 'ownership' thing before, I couldn't really think of a reason not to be 100% behind the opt-out scheme. But it's a fair point. I just don't down see it as any kind of ownership though, I just think it's a terrible shame if somebody who is waiting for an organ can't have one from a recently deceased body just because that person didn't spend 2 minutes filling out a simple form. I reckon the majority of the population fall into the category of 'happy to donate organs, haven't filled out the form yet'.

  11. Don't know what you're talking about, that was all from memory...
  12. I love this. "I'm lending my experience as a manager for all those years - 10 years at Wimbledon, two years at Nottingham Forest, two years winning promotion at Luton and, of course, almost two years at Newcastle." It was 7 years at Wimbledon, 11 months at Forest and 5 or 8 months at Newcastle depending on how you look at it. Safe to say he has a tendency to exaggerate.
  13. What I like about this is the fact the tweeter apparently knew how much the bid was for, but didn't choose to say until someone asked. I also like the fact he thinks it will be rejected. He obviously knows what Nuremberg want for the player. He could have saved us a lot of time preparing for this bid if we'd have known before!! Grr!
  14. Depends. I'd do anything for my family...but not if they were dicks.
  15. I'm 26 and don't really care when I get asked for ID, they're just doing their job and it's not exactly hard to just get a card out my wallet. I look younger than I am anyway. What annoys me is when I get asked for it going into a pub I must have been in hundreds of times, or a shop I go in regularly. I must have a generic, boring face. I used to go a pub where you'd get asked every time you went to the bar. After the third time of taking up your empty glass, it could get a bit tedious.
  16. Bumping for no other reason than the photos of him back in training on the official site. Does this mean he's training with the first team this season, or was he before anyway? Think we will see more of him this season or will his chances be even fewer with the arrivals of Bacuna and Tonev?
  17. Sudden realisation. Sometimes it had a candle in it..?
  18. I used to hit practice golf balls from the top of our garden as a kid, about 60-80 feet from the house. One day, I hit a sweet shot and it went straight through my sisters bedroom open window, so I went upstairs to go and find the ball. For some reason my sister used to keep an empty champagne bottle on her window cill. The ball had rolled down the curtain and landed perfectly on the top of the bottle.
  19. Jesus Christ, it's horrible. I liked their home one last year, but that is just a mess. As for the away one, well...people in glasshouses.
  20. Nah, that's too confusing. I'd be asking where the trains were. Not to mention the aeroplanes and ferries. Makes you realise why they figured a 3-letter word would be best ...and bus is short for busy, yeah? Because buses are usually busy. I'm getting it, I'm getting it.
