  1. No one is loyal in football when other clubs tap them up..
  2. You've only just paid the compo for your current shite manager... Hughton > Lambert
  3. Going after the Hoot that is! He actually seems loyal though...
  4. Hey guys... Not gloating or anything but I vividly remember being at Carrow Road when you guys were chanting "one Paul Lambert"... Reap what you sow and all that... Also... leave Hughton alone!
  5. When he first started his tactics were 'get Wes on the ball, feed it into Holty or Chris Martin and they'd do the rest'. If i recall Holty scored 30 odd goals in league 1 and as much as I **** love Grant Holt, Wes made lots of chances for him. I really rate Wes, can you sense that? Haha.
  6. Stupid iphone... now where was i? When PL first came here he had time as lets face it we couldnt really go much lower. I'm not convinced Villa will give him time. I also dont think our success was fully down to him. Momentum, fan and board backing for the team and starting in a shit league were all contributing factors. League 1 meant he, IC and GK could afford to experiment with the team. If PL had stayed here we would have backed him even if we'd gone down this year. Not so sure Villa will but that's the risk one takes when moving to a different club.
  7. When PL first took over at Norwich he rotated a lot. Wes was in and out of the team. Our first choice keeper kept changing (until Fraser Forster came in from Newcastle on loan) and our system kept changing until we found Wes's righ position. Thing is though, when he started here he had
  8. If you don't mind I will put my POV across about Villa yesterday and how Lambert set up. Someone (on this thread or another) said that Villa were set up like the away team and I completely agree. When PL was still manager here, we set up to attack certain teams but yesterday it was as if Villa were showing lots of respect to Norwich by sitting back. A few of my Norwich mates feared Lambert would know City's strengths and weaknesses but IMO the opposite happened. He set Villa up to combat our strengths and it didnt work. Our wingers were made to look poor (admittedly when we got on the ball out wide the service was woeful as well) but IMO too much attention was put on them and not Wessi. Lambert needs to get back to playing to Villa's strengths as opposed to trying to deal with the opposition. Attack is the best form of defence as they say.
  9. Media overhyping football matches to gain viewers?! When does that ever happen?
  10. I was really proud that basically all of my fellow away fans clapped Stan in the 19th minute
  11. Yeah I heard the Jimmy S chants. Didnt understand it either? There were gaps near me- I was block GG and right at the front. Are all of your stewards grumpy bastards btw? My mate celebrated our goal like a complete nutter and got told to "quiet down or risk getting thrown out". It was an important goal lol...
  12. Reading, Southampton and Norwich/QPR for me.
  13. I'm glad we didnt give stick to Lambert tbh. I much prefered singing Chris Hughton's green army QPR, Southampton and Reading to finish bottom 3 for me.
  14. Thought a point was the minimum Norwich deserved as even before the sending off we had been making chances and apart from one **** up at the back we looked solid. Villa in my opinion, were solid all over the pitch but as I mentioned last night Little Wes was the one who Norwich looked to for creativity and goal scoring chances. Going down the flanks didnt really work for us today so it was no wonder that we looked at our best when Wessi was on the ball. Vlaar kept Holty quiet and for me he and Guzan were your men of the match today. Great performances from them, oh and Benteke of course. Think both teams will be fine this year. Just need to start scoring goals.
