I haven't read any reviews and I'm only a couple of hours in, but yeah, it feels rushed and glitchy.

Well this thread's a bit dry! I've currently got the bug again. I've been doing quite a few races and parkruns recently and my times are slowly getting back to what they were a few years ago. It can be tricky finding time to get out there with a toddler and baby at home, but it's doing me the world of good. Speaking of parkrun, I read this article yesterday. I love what parkrun can do for people, I find things like this so inspiring. https://blog.parkrun.com/nz/2022/10/23/i-am-doing-and-i-love-it/ As it says in the article, she was determined to finish under an hour and she did it on Saturday, with a time of 59:59.

I know I’m very much in the minority on VT, but I’d much rather watch stand up or any kind of comedy show than go see a band. I’ve been to quite a lot over the years and have been to the fringe a few times. Over the next few months I’ve got tickets to see Josh Pugh, Phil Wang, John Robins, Dylan Moran, Mike Wozniak and Rosie Jones. Garth Marenghi at the Glee Club on Tuesday too, I’m looking forward to that.

I read a comment under the John Lewis advert saying something like “thank god they’ve not gone woke this year, they’ve realised people don’t want that crap” (but with worse spelling and grammar, obviously.) This years ad is the “wokest” yet, but the family doesn’t happen to be black.

It's the same for me. Everyone's always tired, broke or busy, so no one ever turns up for my birthday haha. Which is weird because it's in April.

I'm not knocking any of them, but I'm slightly surprised that not one player has boycotted it, to my knowledge at least. I guess you only get so many world cup's, it's a big sacrifice.

Baaaaah, out of curiosity I checked the odds of of him being in the squad yesterday and saw it was 10/1. I thought that was pretty incredible considering he was in every squad for years, I was going to lump some money on. Humbug!

After a morning of watching my kids opening their presents last year, I was sat at the dinner table surrounded by my family. I loaded my fork up with turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce, but I didn't lift it to my mouth, I threw it back down on my plate in disgust. My wife, concerned, asked me what was wrong. "What's wrong!?" I shrilled. "Sainsbury's had advent calendars for sale...in September! It's ruined everthing!" and I ran upstairs crying like a giant baby.

We all see things differently I guess, but I’m surprised there’s not more people moaning about the lion facing right. It looks so wrong to me. I don’t get the idea that facing left is backwards and facing right is forward either?

They’re both fine, but the lion facing the wrong way makes me feel sick.
