Know next to nothing about Ligue 1 but on paper Jordan Amavi (although young) would be a fantastic signing at left back. Rated as one of the best players in the league this season, behind only Ibrahimovic on WhoScored in terms of average rating, has more interceptions than any other player in Europe and a total of 8 MOTM awards. Plays for Nice so we would be a step up although I imagine big clubs will also be interested after the season he's had.

I wouldn't pay more than £5M for Vardy, and wouldn't particularly want him at that. Granted he's had a good end to the season, but so have a lot of their players.

He's the 13th best, out of 19, on WhoScored according to the average rating for the season for GKs with more than 20 apps. They have Pantilimon (sp?) top with De Gea all the way down in 9th. Guess it's easier to pick up higher match ratings when your making more saves as your predominately under the cosh.

I personally prefer the more gritty realistic universe of the Nolan Batman films. Whilst I didn't mind, in fact quite liked, the first Avengers, I thought the second was borderline awful. I'm a massive fan of Spader and thought he voiced Ultron brilliantly, although they played up to this with at least one too many monologues. That said I found Ultron to be far from a good antagonist, bordering on comic relief, his "not again" line after being foiled and pummeled for the Nth time summed it up for me. The first film genuinely made me laugh on a few occasions but found the gags in the 2nd to be way to contrived and don't even get me started on Quicksilver's Russian accent. Reading through this again I may just be being a miserable git.

Trust Walcott to hit form just before this, petrified of his pace against our back line. If Sherwood plays a high line again it's going to be curtains and quickly i'd imagine.

On his day he can still cause the opposition big problems, unfortunately his day seems few and far between. Extremely frustrating as he isn't far off being a very dangerous player imo, always on the shoulder of the last man and seems like he gets a good chance a game (like the one on one VS West Ham) but often his poor finishing lets him down. Think I'd rather start Zog, have a feeling Gabby will come on and cause them problems though, hopefully not just wishful thinking!

Couldn't agree more. I had a season ticket for the 07/08 season and the exact thing happened; tackled by Petrov completely fairly but complains to the Ref, gets the free kick and puts it away on the 87th min. Sickening.
