If this is the case then it's the final straw for me believing anything the media says to do with football. If the media are correct then you'll stop believing the media? Would have been ideal to sign a striker before Benteke got sold, hopefully won't be held to ransom now. Better than getting caught out last week of the window though I suppose.

I understand the low clause from his perspective, remembering the fact he could have just ran his contract down if he wanted to go, gave him an easy out if we were relegated or showed zero ambition this window etc. There's loyalty and then theres just being an idiot, I'm glad he's decided he's staying and hopefully the clause can now be removed or significantly increased.

He was playing very recklessly, leaving us short at the back by bombing forward etc. But then again it was a training game, be unwise to read too much into any performances that game I think. That said I would nuch prefer him at RB where I feel he is more suited.

Don't think he's been that bad at all tbh. Had a nice run to set up Gil on the edge of the box, get the impression that some people were just waiting to call him shit from the first whistle.

Agree. Looks like he wants to bomb forward at every opportunity. Shown he can beat a man and has a lot of pace, seems silly not just to play him as RB.

Nope. Guess he's more Clevery's "replacement" if anything. Unfortunately have to say I'd never really heard of him before him signing but all reports seem to be positive, and the Marseille chairman throwing his teddies out the pram over not getting him also looks good. I'm excited to see him play.
